It is...sorry Chew.

I'll probably load something a little bigger and less chaotic for the lobby...something like Urban Strike or South City.

I'll load all the usual non-DLC suspects: Acropolis Assault, Over the Bridges, Supply Chain, Northern Bridge, Spire Shut-In, Valley Battle...maybe a few bigger maps like Island Battle and Summit Command....and probably at least one more TDM.

Hopefully my friend (Lee) and Cruz will both be on...two birds with one stone.

And be sure to take it easy on these guys. :)

And Lee has a USB mic (PC gamer), so he's automatically more likable than Slider.

Yeah yeah yeah. ;)

Fellow RDR peeps: I got my copy in the mail this morning and played it from about 5PM until CoD at 10, after CoD at 12:30 I hopped back on and played until just about fifteen minutes ago. I'm having a blast with it. At one point we were in free roam and three posses formed over about twenty minutes with everyone picking sides, and there was small spatterings of gunfire and whatnot, and about a half hour later we all ended up in one town and it was a pretty epic time. Also joined a posse and went hunting, took out some gangs, criminals, etc.

Anyways, I know Chess would rather we not discuss RDR in here, so if you want we can start discussing it in the CoD thread as I don't think any of our regulars over there will mind, we really only use the thread Wednesday-Friday for pre and post game discussion. I'm also free the next few days (except for Sunday) any time in the evening if you two can find a time to get on together and we'll do some multiplayer. Let me know.

I have plans tonight and Sunday. I'm free Saturday though.

Hopefully, it's a quick learning curve because I'm not sure I'll have any time with it before jumping into the multiplayer (and, hopefully all that Warhawk playtime helps just a bit ;))

If you played GTA IV, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Sounds totally alien to me.

Warhawk shipped today (actually yesterday) so I should have it sometime before Tuesday. Won't mess up things up with two weeks of non DLC content.

And be sure to take it easy on these guys.
Yeah reallllly easy. You don't wanna scare us off by killing us to death.

Having never played GTA it will probably take you a bit. Let me know what time you can hop on Saturday and we'll try a couple private free roams and I'll act as a practice target. Hopefully Flip will be free to join us, too.

Let's wait and see if Flip drops by with his availability before setting a time.

To the detriment of RDR, I'm going to be at the baseball game on Saturday night so you boys go ahead and get Chew acclimated. Though, it should be known, that I'm still a terrible shot and I've played all sorts of GTA before.

Baseball? Shiiiiiit. That's even worse than hockey!

Sounds good to me. I don't know if you read instruction manuals for games, but in case you don't, the most important control for the game is the up button on the directional pad. It whistles for a horse. No matter where you are your horse will find you. I don't know why I don't read those little booklets, I spent a good two hours walking from place to place trying to steal a horse before I figured that little tidbit out.

Braves are in town. Don't know who they're playing though.

So I've got both Warhawk and RDR in my hands. Played a little RDR last night and it was impressive though the public multiplayer was really empty. Let me know if anyone wants to posse up. I'm on most nights after 9pm est. Yeah kinda sad but since the wife is now in her last trimester of pregnancy she is in bed by 8 most nights.

The free roam is pretty empty, but some of the competitive matches are quite full. I had fun yesterday, Chew. I'm really not good with the map, so sorry it took us so long to get from place to place. Tonight is Lost, so I won't be on, but I'll be playing tomorrow around 10 or 11 if anybody else wants to hop on.

AFAIK, Rockstar hasn't had a successful online multiplayer...at least not over the long term.

Glad you got Warhawk though!

Check the OP for instructions, particularly for mic settings and how to get in the game. Also, don't forget to update the game before Tuesday. It's not an LBP or Burnout Paradise sized update, but it will take a bit. It wouldn't hurt to play the tutorial, and finally, you can either send me a friend request or get on through one of the CoD guys.

I finally caught up on Lost just this week. Damn them for moving it to Tuesdays.

GTA IV was a BLAST online in my opinion. Though, I'm just a fan of the open-world game play.

Yeah. :( Now that it is over though I should be able to stay on for the whole game every week, which will be great.

I was thinking we'd be doing a private match, so I was a little shocked to see other players.

It's funny how everybody plays co-op in the forts, but as soon as all the bandits are taken down, people just turn on each other.

And the first time I whistle for my horse in multiplayer, it's a donkey? :whofart:

I'm enjoying the single-player a ton.
