I love this game, I probably play it more than any other video game, but I think I'll wait like I did last year, when they dropped the price to like 40 right before the season started.

I'm sure this will be between $30-40 on Black Friday. So that's close enough for me.

Picked up the game on Friday.

There is a 15-20GB update before you can play.

Anyways, I played my 1st game last night as the Lakers. I lost by 11 to the Warriors. My shooting was a little rough. You really have to get the timing right.

I did do a lineup change and started Dwight Howard. And with a few minutes left in the 1st, he collapsed and had to leave the game with a collapsed lung. Not kidding, the game actually said Collapsed lung.

It was fun though. AD is pretty dominating on the defensive end and rebounding. I think he had a double double in my game. I need more reps to get the hang of it.

I haven't noticed anything glaring. Maybe Dwight Howard getting a collapsed lung in a game was a little excessive.

I played another 5 minute quarter game last night vs. the Clippers.

I got off to a horrendous start and couldn't make a basket. I think I was down by as many as 19.

I came back and had a 1 point lead with 6 seconds left. And then Clips won at the buzzer on an offensive rebound and put back.

Most of the complaints are centered around the loading times when connecting to the server. This will mostly affect myplayer and updating attributes and stuff (which is all done on the server because they are so protective of VC, and if the servers are hosed, so are you) so if you're just playing with regular teams, I doubt you'd see an issue.

Ugh, I'm now 0-3 playing this game.

I lost at the buzzer last night to the Pelicans. 73-72. Playing on 6 minute quarters.

This game is on Free Play for Xbox Live and is already only $30 new at Gamestop. It can't be that bad, can it?

I don't think it's that bad. If you have ever played a 2K Basketball game before, that's what you will be getting. Nothing major has changed that I am aware of.

It's also 40 dollars digital. But they did something similar last year too to incentivize people to buy it when the NBA season started, just like this year. So I don't think it's a failure, it's mainly that they got all the people who would buy it at full price and they're using the season starting and the increased interest to get more sales.

If you want to be cynical, they make a ton of money on microtransactions so as time goes on they're fine with lowering the price to get more suckers, I mean customers.
