I found the Wolvie game to be an amped up version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, except you can only play with one character. In terms of playstyle anyway. The camera and action is definitely a lot more dynamic. Some really great cinematic looking stuff.

Definitely looking forward to giving it a run through.

The Wolverine demo was better than I expected. But I'm not sure how it will hold up over 10 hours. Seemed like a lot of button mashing. And even though the setting was interesting, it was very linear with invisible walls.

I might pick it up once the price drops in a few weeks.

I wouldn't dare buy it at full price, but once it gets down to $30 or less I'll buy it for sure.

It was far more intense and violently graphic than I expected and that's a good thing. The kills were very satisfying.

That might be the most fun I have had playing a demo.

Someone please convince me that it's NOT worth buying a Japanese Xbox 360 for one game.

Convinced?

It's worth it only if you're picking up this game:

I was tempted to buy a Japanese PS2 for this Japenese curry-making simulation:

I guess if the game is worth 400 bucks to you, it's worth it?

and since you always like to be cryptic, I'll go ahead and ask... which game is it?

I got lost sometimes in Wolverine, couldn't really see what was going on, but when I did see, it was pretty cool. Very cinematic, and much bloodier than I had thought it would be.

Releases on May 1. I may finally take the plunge and buy my first Xbox.

Arrived from Amazon today. Just in time for Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC. :)

It's a Falcon, by the way. I had assumed it would be from what I had been reading about MS trying to clear out old stock of the Elite version, so oh well. I'm actually a little relieved, as someone else had reported (truthfully or not) getting a pre-Falcon version in this new bundle (Zephyr, I think).

And in case anyone was wondering, they package the 2 games together in one case in these bundles, which might make reselling more difficult. You'd have to buy a new case and new cover art in order to sell just one of them. It was the same with the holiday bundle of Kung Fu Panda/Lego Indiana Jones.

I know people in Japan, I could probably get an Arcade at cost plus shipping ($200 plus shipping).

Death Smiles is the game I want. I've actually drove to Austin just to play it at the arcade there. More than once.

I say go for it. For no other reason than you buying the import will guarantee a domestic release for the rest of us.

Heh. On the bright side, I could also pick up DoDonPachi Daioujou, Ketsui and Mushihime-sama Futari at some point and there's even rumors of Espgaluda II being released too. Espgaluda II would actually make me buy the system without thinking about it actually, so maybe I'll wait for that announcement.

I thought the asian games would work on a US console? Don't people buy games from play-asia all the time?

If they are not region coded, yes, they will work on a US 360. Unfortunately, there's a fairly consistent trend of Xbox 360 games that weren't actually released in the US first being region coded. The developer of DDPDOJ and Ketsui was actually asked about making the games region free since there are a good number of international Cave fans and they said the decision was up to the publisher.

How long does it take new game demos to go from Xbox Live Gold to Silver download status?
Bummed I can''t out the Wolverine demo yet?
When did MS start this crap, BTW?

Gamestop employee told me it was a Jasper... Guess we'll see... Just ordered one and it will be in by this time next week.

If you enjoyed the Wolverine demo, you should check out the full game. It's 8 hours of that.
