Only thing I wish they would have changed is the game save setup. I'm sure many like it but it makes me feel like I'm getting old when I need to run to the bathroom after every mission or 2.

Re: Dead Rising 2: Vegas Zombies!
The first game is one of my favorites on the 360 and this is a solid continuation. The game plays very similarly to the original, so if you liked that then you will also like this.
I enjoyed making all the combo weapons and it will be interesting to see how much more there are in the real game. The controls are a little annoying, but you get used to them soon enough. The saving system didn't bother me, but make sure that you use it before you give your daughter a shot. You'll thank me later!
For those new to Dead Rising, I would suggest running around the town and getting familiar with everything first and then restarting your game. The reason for this is that as the clock winds down, you have to do a lot of stuff in a short amount of time and you can't afford to be looking for these places. Also, some of the survivor missions have multiple steps, so don't trick yourself into thinking all you have to do is get to them and you'll make it.
I was able to beat the game, get the good ending and save all the survivors on my first real play through. Now I can't wait to go back and just have fun messing up the zombies.

i was just going to post. if you stray from doing the missions, you won't have time to do much. it's a tight timeframe to build the bike and give your daughter the shot. i ran out of time before i had chance to get last bike piece and that was because i took a slight detour at one point to explore.

I am having fun, too. It just makes me want to play the full game that much more.
Oh and I thought the city in the main game was called Fortune City? They use Las Vegas in Case Zero. Two different cities or last second name change?
Or am I going crazy?

Me too! I hated that in the first one. I couldn't exactly remember what it was since its been so long since i played it but that was so frustrating for me that i gave up playing it even love i thought it was a cool game. I'm liking this one a lot and glad i grabbed the "demo". Looking forward to getting the full game later this month.

If anybody is curious, I've found five weapon combos so far. Does anybody know if there are any more?
Spoiler:
As for the juice blends, everything I mix either makes me puke or just gives me some health back. I haven't discovered any special combos yet.

I also have:
What does the beer combine with as far as combo tools are concerned? Is has the wrench symbol but it's the only one that I haven't found a match to.

There is a construction helmet on one of the rooftops. The beer combines with that to make a beer helmet. I used it repeatedly during the battle with the psychopath and vomited about 10 times will fighting him.

The barfing seems to go on forever in this game. I was dying without a weapon on the road by the quarantine zone and jumped in that pickup truck full of beers. I drank them all to restore my health and ended up throwing up about 5 times on the way back to town. The only part I hate is that he drops stuff while he's puking.

Pretty cool. I played through once to get the "A" ending. I will probably play around with it more, at least enough to max out my toon and get more achievements.
Very faithful to the original game. Pretty anything you hated/loved about that is here. Including the ever-popular save system.

I got my 1,000 kills my using the paddle saw over and over again. You can get about 75 kills in a crowded area per weapon. I'd pick up some queen's and throw them in that pile that hovers around the gas station and then enter the save room and do it all over again. Didn't take me too long to surpass the 1,000.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how to you combine the weapons? I had the baseball bat and the nails, and I saw the little wrench, but I couldn't figure out how to get them together.
Then zombies ate me.

Yeah, it's a little weird. The pop-up tutorial for using the workbench doesn't pop-up until after you try to use it for the first time. Which is counter-intuitive.

I really like the time aspect of these games. Where you have to decide if you're going to venture out for those other survivors you didn't help yet or if you're going to hang around and wait for the next event. Though, I wish these zombie outbreaks would happen closer to the summer solstice.

that being said, i finished this 2x, to get all the achievements. just finished it this morning. awesome to find a queen, and run either to the gas station or the quarantine area and chuck it for 50+ zombie kills.
