The problem is that you started playing FEAR in 2009. So you were already a bit jaded by more advanced graphics and such. FEAR originally came out for PC in 2004 before the Xbox360 and PS3 were even out. Back then FEAR was a huge deal as it was way more advanced than anything else at the time. Nowadays (or at least in 2009 when you first played it) it doesn't stand out as much. Also consider the fact that PC to console ports almost always lose something in the transition as well.

I never played this games, so I'm playing them back-to-back [360]. So far I'm on level 4 [part 1], level 3 seemed long to me.

Damn... I'm on level 8, always lacking KITS & Grenades at the end of the last 3 levels.

Passed part 1 on Monday. it was ok. I really liked the enemy AI and the sound was fucking great. Will start part 2 later on today.

" Elementary" was fucking creepy. Passed it today, liked a lot. The ending was wtf!... part 3 now!
