Really good deal at Best Buy for Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway Limited Edition:

Reward Zone Members use coupon linked here:
https://myrewardzone.bestbuy.com/vie...jspx?tc=CPN_20

That will take $20 off the game. The game is now listing for $49.99, but it seems everyone is finding it ringing up for less. For me it rang up at $34.99 so it cost me $14.99 + tax, but others are finding it for less than $30 and getting it for under $10.

The Limited Edition comes with an articulated 6" action figure seen below:

Gamestop is showing a new Limited Edition of the game on sale for $59.99, $10 more than the regular PC version.

What do you get for that extra 10 bucks? You get a 6 inch Sgt. Matt Baker action figure with 13 accessories along with the first issue of the Dynamite Entertainment Brothers in Arms comic book and a map of the actual Operation Market Garden (the real WWII battle that is the setting for the game). If you pre-order the Limited Edition, Gamestop will even include two models (the German Commander and the American Assault model). It's unclear if these last two are in-game models or actual action figures. The game itself ships on Sept.23.
The Best Buy version also comes with a mini-strategy guide, FWIW.

Yeah, I just saw that commercial, too. I'm almost tempted to do it. That's a pretty damn good deal and I'm not even a Madden game fan.

I probably would have passed on Madden this year but the SI offer was too good to pass up.

I sent the SI to my office. I'm actually going to deduct this game as a business expense now.

The demo was terrible IMO.

Golf and Tennis belong on Wii...one of the few things it's good for.

Also posted in the GH thread:

Courtesy of NeoGaf via CAG, buy Guitar Hero 5 and get GH: Van Halen for free by mail. Offer details.

Offer expires 10/31 and says to allow up to 6 weeks for delivery. Glancing at the calendar reveals that you might get Van Halen prior to it's actual release.

It's funny how the CEO who wishes he could charge more for games is essentially giving one away.

Or he's aware that only covering the first 10 years of a band that's been around for 30+ years wasn't the wisest of decisions.

I went ahead and got in on the Madden/SI deal. Couldn't resist for $15 off retail price, plus some mags to read.

For those that don't check CAG, Amazon has made the deal even better. I swore I'd never buy a GH game before it went cheap again...
Guitar Hero 5 with Free GH: Van Halen, $10 Game Credit, $10 MP3 Credit at Amazon
Activision is throwing in a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen (by mail) when you buy Guitar Hero 5. Amazon sweetens the deal by adding the following:

* $10 off a future video game purchase at Amazon
* $5 Amazon MP3 credit good toward the music tracks from the game
* $5 Amazon MP3 music downloads credit
I know that last part is confusing, but what it means is you'll get a $5 MP3 credit for any download (as you are currently getting for any video game purchase that ships in August), and in addition, you get an additional $5 credit to download any of the tracks from the game onto your MP3 player (shrug). Overall, a pretty good deal.

Speaking of good Amazon deals, here's what I posted on CAG to almost complete indifference:

Yeah, it's not the greatest deal on points we've ever seen, but for the first time since the ECA discount promotion appeared, Amazon is selling physical points cards for shipment. They're discounted 50 cents or $19.49 before discount, but that makes them $17.54 after ECA. A good deal for those with Amazon Prime. Even better, you also qualify for the $5 MP3 credit with purchase.

I know it. I'm mostly indifferent about the setlist and only lukewarm about the idea of a Sammy-less VH game, but the deal is definitely getting sweeter. I can turn around and use that $10 coupon on Halo ODST. I might be pulling the trigger today.

Well Amazon just made deciding a whole lot easier, they already killed the $10 offer. No sale.

Even without the $10, you still get no sales tax and $10 of MP3s. Still a better deal.

Not sure if anyone wants it but Amazon has GH: Smash Hits (all 3 consoles) for $45.49 right now. I figure someone might want it for the export feature.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Not sure if this should go here or in the XBLA thread, but there's a decent deal going on with arcade titles purchased from Amazon. They're running that promotion where you get a $5 MP3 Store credit with every purchase. Since I already spend about $20/month on their MP3s, I ordered four XBLA games to get $20 in credit. I never received any emails with my promo codes though, so I called customer service. The rep says the system isn't set up to automatically generate promo codes for XBLA games, but that they do qualify, so they're just giving people the appropriate amount of store credit instead. Since their system isn't working automatically, you have to call and deal with customer service, but you basically get $5 back for each XBLA title you buy.

For those with a Fry's : They are selling the legendary Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition FightSticks for PS3 and 360 for $89.99 today only (MSRP $149.99). I don't really need that stick, but damn it's nice. So what the hell, I made the trip and got one!
