Bioshock (PC version) is free today (11/8/12) at GameFly. You have to register and provide a credit card number.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Target's BF ad is now up. The only thing that is really getting my attention is 1600 point cards are going to be only $10. Think I'll definitely pick up a couple of those for sure. IF they do pricematch non-doorbuster deals it looks like there might be an issue then with say Forza Horizon which is $15 at WalMart and I already know I will not be able to be there with those maroons moving up their time to 8PM, so was hoping to pricematch at Target. In the Target ad they have it listed at $60 and you get a $20 gift card with purchase. I can only imagine they would deny the pricematch altogether because the offer is part of buying it their at Target that day. Who knows?

YMMV but see below.

•Price matches for prices offered Nov. 22–24 by Target, Target.com or a competitor are excluded.

I had this roommate that was really into black Friday sales, but he cheated. He used things like DVDTalk & whatnot to find what was going to be on sale and he'd goto the stores a week early. But he wouldn't buy items, rather he hid them within the store. I remember one time specifically he hid a giant batch of games and DVDs into a storage compartment some random fridge. When we went there on Black Friday 2004 surely enough, they were still there. Ah, memories...
I have thought about that but with security cameras and people watching you it would be difficult to pull it off and have the items still be there or not be accused of trying to steal them.

Yeah a buddy of mine worked plain clothes security at Wal-Mart for a few years. He has all kinds of crazy stories, but with the cameras, regular security and plain clothes security roaming about its tough to stash things these days.

I stash stuff at Target all the time (mostly clearance stuff that hasn't fallen low enough for me yet), and it's almost always there when I come back. The key is knowing where to stash it.

Never tried stashing anything for BF though.

I've done stuff for BF before without an issue. Now mind you I've only hidden stuff the very week of. Usually pick spots that have lots of boxes and let them just fall back behind them. Done it even in the Electronics area itself or just toys. I've never gone crazy though and done in say any specific year more than 2-3 items tops. Like for example the 1600 point cards I only plan on getting say 4 cards. Anything I've hidden has definitely only been for my private use and not for profit.

The console games are locked up at the local Target. We tried hiding some movies last year but they put them right back.

Oh well, so much for that change thos year. That was definitely not the case last year. Hopefully Amazon matches, but I doubt at that price for Forza Horizon. If I cannot get it I'm not too worried. Have plenty of other games to play any ways and by the time I feel like getting it will probably be at that price. Now the 1600 point cards on the other hand, that's another story. 10$ for those is a must buy this year for sure.

Yep, games are a definite no this year at Target with that change although games have nevr been on my hiding list. And as far as movies will not have to even worry about that this year with the poor selection compared to my collection that I already have.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So if Amazon does price matching (I'm specifically eyeballing Borderlands 2 @ BB for $35 and WM for $25), are they likely to do so for an hour as a lightning deal? All day? More likely BM or WM?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Last year Amazon did it as lightning deals, some sold out in less than a minute.

Hmm, that doesn't sound much easier than braving the B&M stores that night. Though I'd be less likely to get punched in the face, I suppose.

However, they ran the deals more than once over a period of days.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Looks like all the stores are doing PS Vita Wi-Fi Black Ops bundles for $199. I'll no doubt get one of those. And AC III for $35 from Best Buy. I'll be online early Thanksgiving morning to see if the deal will be available on the website.

FWIW, I am really enjoying ACIII and I paid the full 60$. At 35$ it would be a great value.

I just wish they were doing the Vita AC bundles rather then the Black Ops ones.

Yeah Target clearance is crap unless you're in the market for crappy Wii and DS titles.

Mostly accurate, unfortunately, but I did pick up a copy of Portal on the PS3 for $14.99 a week or so ago.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It's just a matter of time. They go thru periods where they aren't clearing out much, and then all of a sudden they dump a bunch of stuff.
