Tempting... I have a $5 RZ cert here that has no use. Is $35+tax a good investment for this?

Yes.

[fanboy] I paid $90 and it was worthy[/fanboy]

Also, remember that it includes a coupon to get the first DLC episode free.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I picked up EA Sports Active: More Workouts for $19.96 at Wal-mart tonight. It was a rollback from $39.96.

Is Bioshock and Bioshock 2 worth $50 + tax (assuming the local K-mart has them)?

As games? Absolutely. Ahhh, to have paid $50 for the entire Bioshock experience, instead of ... well, whatever I paid.

However, that's about the going price for both of those now: $20 for Bioshock, $30 for Bioshock 2. It's not a chomping-at-the-bits superb deal, but a completely worthwhile tag to pay.

I picked up Bioshock for 15 because I'm very weak when I see a good game below 20. I'll wait on Bioshock 2, because I'm certain it will be 20 or less before I work my way thru my unplayed pile.

MOD NOTE: In case anyone's confused, there was a spam post right before xmiyux's post (2 above this post) which was removed.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I picked up Bioshock and Bioshock 2 at Kmart today. At first, I couldn't find Bioshock until I realized that since it's regularly $20, it's not in the glass case. Sure enough, I found it in the cheap game section right next to the glass case.

I bought the cheap Sylvania BD player a few weeks ago and the HD DVD player that was next to it is still there. I wonder how long it's going to sit on the shelf?

Now it says on the coupon "Not valid with any other offers or discounts", so that would make it a YMMV thing, but since it's a manufacturer's coupon with a bar code it will hopefully still work.

It uses the same coupon printer than Disney uses for their coupons, so most here will probably already have it installed.

In addition, Best Buy has a Reward Zone Gamer Club coupon next week for $10 off Blur, so in theory it might be able to be had for $10, but that would probably require some Jedi mind trick skillz to pull off.

Either way, a $20 Blur would be awesome. So glad I still have my $40 K-Mart copy still unopened in bag with receipt. Never been so happy to have game overload right now.
They took the $20 coupon but it wouldn't take the other $10 BB coupon. Still, $22.86 out the door for a game that is less than a month old is great in my book.

Does every copy have the first DLC free or is it specially marked ones only? I almost picked this up at Best Buy today but didn't see anything on the front or back saying it's in there.

For me, they scanned in both coupons (RZ one first, then manufarcurer's (though he entered that one manually). Total price $12.49 for me. Awesome deal.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I read on another forum that Blur will be on sale at Target next week for $37. If true, you'll be able to get it there for $17 since the manufacturer's coupon doesn't expire until June 30. I may go that route since I have never had any problems with Target regarding manufacturer's coupons and I have a gift card with them.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Maybe it's just the $10 talking, but Blur is much better than the initial demo lead me to believe. I'm digging it.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yeah I am loving Blur MP. Even at $20 I would have been happy, but at $12 you can't go wrong.

The SP is ok but not nearly as fun. Still it will keep me entertained for a bit at least until I find a cheap copy of Split Second.

I would chalk that more up to your initial impression being wrong. It was always awesome.

I went ahead and picked it up today with the Best Buy sale. They balked at using both coupons and I didn't feel like fighting with them so I just used the manufacturer's one. Still an awesome deal.
