Could somebody please explain this coupon chain to me? I admit I haven't been following this from the beginning so I'm not exactly clear on how this works. I have two $5 GC from writing reviews and a $10 GC from mycokerewards. (and now I see that there's a $5 of $50 coupon )!

No, I just don't visit it that often. And when I do, trying to find the specific posts in the K Mart section is a pain. Didn't know about the K Mart blog though, so I'll check that out. Thanks.

Oh, and just to chime in about K Marts, mine is like walking through a haunted house. It's dark, has a weird oder, and the people that work there look like serial killers. I just try to get in and out if I have to go there.

Well, you just buy something this week and you'll get a coupon. For example, buy NBA2K11 (like i did) and you get a $20 coupon that will be active next week. Come in next week and you can use it to buy Medal of Honor for $40. That gives you a $25 gift card that you can use the next week to buy Fallout New Vegas for $35. That will give you a $20 coupon that would enable you to buy either Fable 3 or Rock Band 3 for $40, either of which would give you another $20 gift card that can be used to buy another game, presumbaly with other deals not yet announced. Here's all the current offers:
Spoiler:

www.KmartGamer.com (Blog is effective in all locations)

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West $25 Gaming Coupon
Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light $15 Gaming Coupon

Limit one per customer, while supplies last, no rainchecks.

This is not a pre-order and does not researve your copy of the game but rest assured we will be purchasing a large amount of Fallout New Vegas and adjust our per store allocation based on the Coaster Set sell through.

UPC/KSN: 093155125995/2663504
Coupon Effective: 10/19 - 10/30

Epic Mickey Offer:

Buy Epic Mickey offer box (contains nothing) for $5 and receive a $15 Gaming Coupon that will be redeemable launch week of Epic Mickey and can be used directly on the title. The coupon will print out at time of purchase of the fake box.

Limit one per customer, while supplies last, no rainchecks.

This is not a pre-order and does not reserve your copy of the game.

Similar to Fallout New Vegas though the promotion is effective in all stores but it will have a YMMV feel to it. We definitely recommend calling ahead with the item info below.

Well, at least you don't get charged 15 bucks for admission. Take a few of you friends there with you on Halloween and call it a night.

thanks for answering my post. As for the 50$ coupon, I found it on post #1637. As for the $5 coupon for writing 5 reviews, you just go to kmart's website and open an account, then just search for any product you feel like writing something about. After doing all 5, they'll email you a coupon in a few days (unless your review was too short)

Hope that helped.

The main deals are all in the first post, which is updated regularly, no need to really weed through that huge thread of Kmart complaints...

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Just got back from Kmart a few hours ago. Wow were they disorganized there. I waited and waited after an employee used the intercom to call someone to electronics. Someone finally came, didn't have any idea what I was talking about (Epic Mickey "preorder"). Someone else finally came and knew what I was talking about but couldn't find it. They proceeded to look through ALL the DVDs on the shelf. I said thanks and walked away.

I got to the front and saw some bins with $5 video games and thought I'd check them just for the heck of it. Yeah, that's where they were. Then the "front manager" (that's what it said on her tag) rang me up but couldn't get my $5 GC I received from writing reviews to work. A real manager came by and then got it to work. All said, i wasted more than 30 minutes of my time.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

You missed out on the Castlevania deal. The $25 off that comes with Enslaved is good through this Saturday. Coupons are valid the following Sunday. You could use the $25 off Castlevania though, you just won't get another coupon with that purchase.

As for availability, Kmart seems to be in no rush to put out release week titles. I've noticed the past few weeks, games tend to show up on shelf a week or so after release. HOWEVER, they are always in stock, it's just a matter of making an employee find it in the store room.

Nabbed the Fallout pre-order/coaster deal over the weekend. The $15 off coupon it comes with is valid the week of RB3. So that and the $25 coupon will go towards RB3. $40 off (actually $35) RB3 will be nice.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'm super-tempted to pick up Super Scribblenauts at Kmart. With the $15 coupon, it's essentially half-priced. I got burned on the first game, sort of liking it but more frustrated at all it did wrong. This one is supposedly much improved and for $15 net, I can't imagine that I won't get my money's worth (assuming I can find wherever it is I put my DSi and its charger).

Scott, if you wanted to get at least two new full-priced 360 games, I think you're better off grabbing three games for $120 at this week's TRU Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale. Check that thread for more details.

^ it was actually more of a maybe on purchases. not really interested in 3 right now and certainly could wait for both, but Castlevania has me itching. don't even know of any TRU near me either.

thanks Michael, was looking to use the $25 coupon for Castlevania.

Are they bringing back the glitch where if you hand them a stack of games with a $60 game sandwiched between 2 $20 games, the $60 game rings up as free? Because that would be awesome.

I remember reading the glitch showed up two years ago and with the glitch happening again last year, it seems Best Buy doesn't care to fix it

I can't remember, does Best Buy do the B2G1F every year as well? For some reason I only remember last year as being the first.

I thought last year was the first as well. I didn't have any luck with the glitch everyone else exploited.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Exploited is such a pejorative word. Let's just say it's a glitch that I experienced. The irony is that the $60 game I got for free (Forza 3) I've played like twice, and one of the $20 ones I paid for (Lego Star Wars Complete Saga) my son plays almost daily.

So the BB B2G1...works just like the TRU deal? And it will be happening in the next month-ish? If so, I think I can wait on Fallout and RB3...

Was it accidental or intentional? Exactly.

I'm not disparaging anyone, hell I tried it once. I'm up for a good glitch, but it's definitely an exploit when the deal clearly states, Buy two and get one of equal or lesser value free.

@BestBuy_Deals: For a limited time, pick up two select Xbox 360 or PS3 games for only $30: http://bbyurl.us/r28
Not that great of a deal compared to Amazon prices in most games, but good if you have BB GC and/or can combine with another promotion.
