+1

I just saw the msrp and I'm shocked. I thought it was going to be somewhere around $60.

Doesn't seem to be working on Kinect anymore. Status of the coupon with Kinect in my cart is "Not Applied."

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Right, and I tried to call CS to get them to apply it but they said it doesn't work on pre-orders. Oh well. I would have been happy to get it + Adventures for $90, considering the alternative.

It is funny how people say $100 is the right price for this but when that is actually presented to them, it's still too much

$100 w/a game was the right price... before E3.

Yep....tried with Kinect, no luck....oh well. $90 was a bit closer to reality IMO.

Yup that would have been the sweet spot.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I got in on it this morning. I'll probably end up canceling, but just in case the reviews turn out being good I figured I'd give it a chance.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

If they don't cancel your order, consider letting me take over the payment and ship it to me

I'll do it for $90.

Welp, when I got there...to be honest there wasn't much in the way of accessories. I didn't try for the points card, and the regular wireless black controller was $50 which at 40% meant it went down to $30. I've seen better at Amazon.

However, they did have the Xbox 360 Arcade Play Wireless Controller Gaming Pack at $39.99 which includes the same controller plus Lumines, Geometry Wars 2, Bomberman (all 3 on disc) and a code to download Ms Pac Man. With discount, that came to $24+tax. Quite a deal. I do see that people are having problems with Bomberman but luckily that's the one I already own. (I also own Ms. Pac Man via Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, but I can trade the code away). But basically I get a wireless controller+ Lumines & Geo Wars 2 for $24. I'm happy!

Be honest. You'd do it for a lot less.

I'll keep it in mind, though it was like 97 after tax.

$97!?!??! NO FUCKING DEAL! That's $7 too much, fuck this shit!

No, I know it had tax on it. I'm still cool if you decide to pass it down.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Some people were adding a $10 coupon to get their Kinect for $80 plus tax. But I thought that would definitely be a cause for cancelation since the 40% coupon says cannot be combined with other offers.

I really restrained myself from ordering 2 Kinects. Great xmas gift potential but I thought that might risk the cancel as well (even though the coupon said up to 3 items).

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Was able to buy Prince of Persia and Skate 3 with the Best Buy magazine coupons for $35 plus tax. And better yet, I was able to purchase a $50 PSN card for $30 at Toys R Us using the 40% off coupon. Now I'm wondering if I should use those $50 for Playstation Plus.

Oh, I didn't even think of using it for PSN cads. That might be a good idea. How many can be purchased at a time?

Mine didn't ring up, but the supervisor did an override. Still, is not working anymore as I went back to get a second card and the supervisor now said that the coupon didn't include PSN cards.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

No dice for me on point cards. The cashier pulled over the manager for an override but he said they weren't considered accessories by the vendor so they couldn't use the coupon.

Thanks for making this post. I tried to buy both games on Sunday, but the coupons didn't work. I read your post earlier and had to return a mouse there anyways, so I decided to try again. Success on both games...$35 plus tax.

I won't be using a few of the coupons, so if anyone wants one (or all 3) let me know.

Assassin's Creed II
Bioshock 2
Just Dance

:-) Took me a little bit to figure out what you meant. Then I saw the quote!

Off topic, any word from those game devs?
