20% percent off so $29.19. I went hoping it was $20 for 3 months.

No longer stackable, right?

If they don't expire, does it matter? I have 10 codes of 3 months each, no expiration.

Oops, I neglected to include that. I've updated my previous post.

Yes, because you can lose them. Especially if they're digital codes (and they are).

Also, if they don't work in 2 years from now when you try to redeem them, what is your recourse then?

You’re saying you can’t stack them up to three years’ worth now?

Yes that is correct. It's mentioned here

  • From September 12, 2024, Microsoft will only allow existing users to stack Xbox Game Pass for Console for up to 13 months, using pre-paid cards and the like, which will continue to function in perpetuity. If you have more than 13 months stacked already, you won't be impacted.

Maybe you can still stack Game Pass Ultimate codes? I don't know.

From Amazon (not a seller) and Target? I'm probably safe.

Oh wait that's console, wonder if pc is affected.

I like to use a code at a time when I accumulate a handful of games I want to try.

yeah, I don't think GPU has the same limit. But since my subscription is just about 33 months from expiring, I've ordered one of these codes to see if it works to bump it back up to 36. Have to wait a few days, though.

Okay. I gave it a shot as well. Have about 32 months left. Weird that it takes a week to send the code. CD Keys was near-instant.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

My previous experience buying keys from Woot was that it said it’d take longer than it did, but I guess there’s weird backend server stuff that goes on in order to validate each key in real time. Y’all may remember the story about the MS engineer who got caught after reselling $10 million worth of codes he generated for free, and I bet that there’s longer delays now in order to QC every transaction.

During his employment at Microsoft, Kvashuk discovered a glitch that generated a redeemable 25-digit code every time he performed a fake transaction for a Microsoft gift card. This glitch allowed Kvashuk to generate an endless amount of codes that he could use on Microsoft's digital storefront to purchase various digital items, such as games available on the Xbox store.

God knows how many XBLA games I bought on the 360 as a result of that.

Posting this here instead of the switch thread because it probably is more interesting to people who don't own a switch yet, but Target will have the OLED switch with Mario Kart pack in for 275. Yes a switch 2 is coming but that's a good deal.

Highlights from Walmart are:
Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (switch)
Spiderman 2 (PS5)
for 30 bucks.

These sales are not active yet, btw.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Thanks, I bit! I want to use the Fire stick on the computer monitor and there's reviews that the controller is more the size of an 8bitdo controller (smaller than an XBOX controller) and I have small hands so the regular XBOX controllers are too big for me. And the white one is one sick looking controller.
