Thanks, picked up Ratchet & Clank and also saw they had Uncharted collection for a $10 upgrade price available, so I added that in. I'll probably get the Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate bundle for $40, good enough price for 2 great PS5 games.

Some of these are the same price on digital in the PSN store. I know people may want a physical copy though. I'm thinking of getting Ratchet and Clank, Valkyrie Elysium, REturnal and maybe a few others.i

I’m actually shocked that some of the games are cheaper digital. Some of the digital games are $1 cheaper than the disc version.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
as I understand, you can get the PS5 digital version free by inserting the PS4 disc.
Edit: clarification provided by others. You still have to pop the disc in to play your upgraded copy.
As for actual differences... I'm guessing not much. But at least you have both options if you grab the PS4 disc.

Nice. PS4 version ordered.

But you still have to have the disc in the machine to play. You probably know that but just in case someone thinks they can put in the PS4 disc, download the PS5 copy, then use it as a coaster or sell it.

That's always the case if you're buying the disc version, the PS5 version as well. But if you're buying it on disc, I don't see any reason to buy the PS5 version, unless you just really want the case to match your other PS5 games or you just don't want to download it.

No, I agree, just the wording of "you get the digital PS5 version free" could be confusing.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Good point. You're right that the disc is always needed.
Really would be cool if they did some kind of disc to digital trade in program. That way you could take advantage of good physical deals, then swap the disc for a fully digital license later.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I think I’m almost done with my Black Friday video game purchases. I picked up:
Miles Morales PS5 $19.99
Sack boy PS5 $19.99
TMNT Cowabunga Collection PS4 $19.99
Ghosts of Tsushima PS5 $29.99
Life is Strange: True Colors PS5 $19.99
Horizon: Forbidden West PS4 with free PS5 Upgrade $29.99
The only other game I might buy is Sonic Frontiers if it’s $29 at Walmart tomorrow. I was hoping for a sale on Project Triangle Strategy, but I guess I’ll wait until next Black Friday.

Life is Strange: True Colors down to $15 now. I wish I waited a couple days on it. I could have saved $5.

Why don't you just buy the disc and save $13? If you don't like the game, you can sell or trade it in.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
i'm just no longer a disc guy. i have the Series X, but i can't remember the last time or what i bought as a physical disc. i only go digital for the ease. i can wait till it's $19.99 or something. i'm sure won't be long.
