Sold! I've had $15 WM gift card laying around for months that I couldn't find anything to spend it on. So $35 for $70. Works for me. Thanks Deck.

Darn, they cancelled my order “due to unusual activity” and now it’s 70.

Hmm, I got the code from Walmart within a minute of ordering yesterday and entered the money into my Nintendo account using the link in the Walmart email without any problems.

Looks like they won't be getting any gaming money much longer...

Wow, it's just not Decker's week.

So they're canceling people that had stocked up? That's kinda shitty. Mine finally ran out last April.

Silver lining? Maybe they're launching a new GCU and need to close the books on the old accounts beforehand?

I don't believe they are replacing the program since they already have the My Best Buy program.

OMG NO!!! That's super-shitty.

Yeah if they were replacing the program they would have announced something right when it officially closed down for new memberships.

Not having it has saved me a ton of money, though.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It was a good run.

Honestly, with Costco discounting digital game currency 10%, and digital games not being taxed, the cost for a new game digitally vs at Best Buy was basically the same. It was nice when they gave a $10 RZ certificate or Steelbook though. And sales were awesome (it even worked with Black Friday this year, I bought SO much).
It will really hurt with CE's going forward though. That discount could save me $30 or more on one of those. I am hoping and praying for an announcement of a CE for Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart before the end of February.

Digital games aren't taxed? I could swear I have paid sales tax on my my digital game purchases.

Also, I bought two of those Walmart 70 for 50 deals on the currency.

Depends on your state. All my digital games have been taxed for at least 5 years or so.

Yep, I pay tax on digital games here in TX.

I bet Best Buy is further distancing itself from Media. This is a needed step for them when it comes to games. I guess they plan on banking on those big box items, keep their employee hours low, and keep those investors bank accounts flush. I have even heard of some of the locations going to warehouse only where they will only be shipping items out and not be allowing customers in and on the floor. Just what I have heard.

I too have to pay tax on every game I buy on Steam.

The only people in Best Buy will be those asking if you're satisfied with your current TV and internet service.

For those who like the top-down action games like Diablo, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, Torchlight......right now Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor: Martyr Complete Edition is $14.00 normally $70.00 in the PS Store.....I wasn't sure but after a few hours there's a lot in this game to do and a lot with the characters. Not as fast paced as diablo and PoE and in some areas a bit restrained but design is really good..... Steam breakdown and some reviews....Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr on Steam (steampowered.com)

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Seems pretty large file for what I thought was just dlc. 42+ GB. I guess pretty lengthy. And like 25 other trinkets I’m sure mean nothing.

I’ve only played one top down that I can remember in ever, one of the top down Lara Croft games on One. I thought it was Osiris something. But I have in my current library Guardians of Light, and a newer one, I don’t remember title, but know it was top-down, I think. I thought it was Osiris that I played and was fun, but brutally hard in some spots. I don’t think I gave it enough time though.

This Warhammer looked good. Not sure how different this action-RPG from any other game I have played that wasn’t an rpg heavy game. Because I don’t think I’ve played any.

Is this turn-based? What does that even mean? Does WH let you freely control and use weapons and whatever powers or whatever nice and easily with push of a button or two? That’s all I want.

I know the Borderlands or BioShocks aren’t really considered RPG. Has some elements, but is WH a lot harder than those? Probably little deeper in system or whatever...

IGN didn't like it much

I recently picked up this other top-down Warhammer game, Chaosbane Slayer Edition, which was a launch PS5 title
