Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Best Buy's Deal of the Day is all about Activision, including:

Call of Duty: WWII (Gold Edition) - $29.99/$23.99 GCU
Black Ops III: $24.99/$19.99 GCU
Modern Warfare Remastered: $19.99/$15.99 GCU
Crash Bandicoot (PS4) - $19.99/$15.99 GCU
Overwatch: $29.99/$23.99 GCU

Target has a similar thing going on today. Cartwheel in-store, no coupons/whatever necessary online. Tempted by Modern Warfare Remastered, although I wish it had some kind of XB1X enhancement, so I guess I'll go for the PS4 Pro if I bite. It's short enough that I guess I could blast through it before Spider-Man gets here.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

target.com has sweetened the pot, although not across both platforms.

CoD: WWII is $19.24 on the PS4 but $29.99 on the XB1.
MW:R is $14.99 on the XB1 but $18.99 on the PS4.
The Zombie Chronicles edition of BOIII is $16.24 on the PS4.

Bought the deluxe version when it released a year ago, quickly fell off and traded it in. For free, I'll take another shot at it, and when the new expansion gets a decent discount, I'll probably take a chance on it as well.

Seems like it should be an always freebie, but the wording indicated a short term one, single player version of new Counter Strike.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Starting on Sunday, Best Buy is giving out free copies of Destiny 2 with the purchase of any game $29.99-and-up or any Turtle Beach headset.

I know I already have it free from PS+, but maybe I'll cancel one of my Spider-Men (one for me and one for my kid brother's birthday in a couple of weeks) and get a physical copy of Destiny 2 on the XB1 just for the heck of it.

At least online, the free copies of Destiny 2 apply to preorders, and they're tied to the platform of the $29.99+ game. I don't seem to get the offer with Switch games.

So, I cancelled and re-ordered a couple of games, so now I have Destiny 2 coming on both the XB1 and PS4, one of which I'll give as a gift to someone who probably won't care, but whatever. And even though the XB1 game I preordered isn't coming out till late next month, its corresponding free copy of D2 is coming this week. Yay?

PSN too.

It's free until the 18th, but if you get it before then, it's yours forever.
