Does Best Buy ever put Gamers Club Unlocked, itself, on sale? Mine just expired, but I don't foresee any purchases until Far Cry 5, so I guess I might wait it out. Plenty of time to wait for a.deal if they ever offer one.

There have been a couple of random promotions. There was a thing where you could buy a phone at Best Buy and get GCU for free, so people would just buy $15 phones, throw 'em away, and just use the GCU bonus. There was another promotion on Twitch last year where you could donate $25 to some Call of Duty-related charity and get GCU for free; not massive savings, but $5 is better than nothing (plus your money's going to what is presumably a good cause).

I don't remember anything else. I'm not sure if you can subscribe to GCU using gift certificates or reward certificates, but you might be able to get a roundabout discount that way.

I bought a couple of SIM cards for $10 each during that phone promo.

I wouldn't recommend using a reward certificate on GCU since that's a tax-free item (I think) and the Rewards Certificate deduct from the pre-tax price of an item.

Flash sale on PSN is Battlefront 2 for 40% off. I realize they said they would discount it after Star Wars was released in theaters, but I'm not sure they thought they would have to slash it that far down.

So that's 34.79 for the regular and 46.39 for the deluxe after PS Plus discount (42% off)

Also, for those who don't check CAG : Heads-up that this week at Target, in-store only, all Video Game Gift cards (i.e. Xbox Live, Xbox store credit, PS Plus, PSN store, Nintendo Eshop, Steam) are Buy 1, Get 1 25% off. That's a 12.5% savings -- about the best deal you will find on PSN or eShop credit all year. I plan to stock up a bit.

You can also stock up via paypal digital gifts on eBay. They've been selling out but coming back in stock. The Nintendo eShop deal is actually better, it's 15% off. The iTunes one is the same but you have to buy a hundred bucks.

You can still only put about $150 in your PSN account at a time, but you can just save the codes/emails and use them later.
