That's really good with Arkham Knight, though I wonder if we will just end up seeing a GOTY/Ultimate Edition. We did with both Asylum and City (but not Origins though). That and the season pass for Arkham is a beefy $30. Hrmmm, decisions decisions.

If it's a Games with Gold for Xbox 360, it's also BC with Xbox One.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
That's not what I'm suggesting. In fact, quite the opposite. Nothing hasn't been BC and they say nothing will. Until it isn't. There is always the possibility they'll give something away before it's ready for BC.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
A bunch of the big Xbox One games from 2015 are heavily discounted at Best Buy:
Halo 5 - $39.99 ($31.99 after GCU) Forza Motorsport 6 - $39.99 ($31.99 after GCU) Rise of the Tomb Raider - $39.99 ($31.99 after GCU) FIFA 16 - $29.99 ($23.99 after GCU) Call of Duty: Black Ops III - $39.99 ($31.99 after GCU) Also, there's something wonky going on with Forza 6 at Target. It rings up for $39.99, but there's a Cartwheel coupon that'll bring it down to ~$26. Depends on if your cashier lets it stack, from what the kids are saying. |

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Seems trollish to me, just taking random shots at Xbox.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
All pinata is saying is that Microsoft could theoretically stop including 360 Games with Gold titles as backwards compatible in the future despite what they're doing and saying now. Don't see the big deal about the comment, although doesn't seem worth warning about now in this particular thread. Until it isn't.

I don't see Xbox stopping this practice, because they want their 360 customers to buy an Xbox One, and having the BC is a nice selling point. In short, Xbox has absolutely nothing to lose by doing this, and there's no "until they do" smartass retort. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Theoretically stores could stop offering deals on games.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Not trolling. Not taking shots at Xbox. Just saying that it's certainly possible in the future that a free GwG will not be BC.
We know publishers get to decide what's BC. If Rockstar decided to allow Red Dead Redemption be free with Gold but not BC, will MS refuse the offer? It's just a conversation and none of us will ever have all the information to know what theoretically could happen. Right now it is a guarantee and likely for the foreseeable future and forever if MS stands by their announcement. |

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Theoretically, we could all grow out of gaming and start sipping tea while playing croquet.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Are you suggesting that croquet is not a game? You're so hardcore!
