Is that site legit? Because their prices seem too good to be true.

It's legit but it's also region dodging, similar to Russian CD Keys. I'm not sure if any Steam accounts have been closed due to .br keys yet or not though.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

You won't get in trouble for buying a Steam key from nuuvem. The only thing you need to watch out for is to see if the game is region-locked or not. Typically they're okay, but sometimes a key they sell will be for South America only. The only time Valve gets pissy about buying from other regions is if you change your region on steam and then activate via VPN.

I've picked up several games from nuuvem, including Borderlands: Pre-Sequel for about half-price. I also used to get most of my new releases through Russian traders back before the lock-down, and haven't had any issues on my account.

Okay, cool. So, how do I verify if a game is region locked? Heck, I didn't even know games had region locks. I thought that was something exclusive to movies.

Saints Row IV + GAT Out of Hell remake for PS4/Xbox One is $29.99 at Best Buy today. $23.99 with GCU. And Best Buy's iOS mobile app now accepts Apple Pay. I just ordered a copy for in store pickup.

If you're into mediocre party games -- and hey, who isn't? -- Amazon has Mario Party 10 for the Wii U for $41.

You used to be able to look that stuff up on SteamDB, but now Valve has disabled that. I guess your best bet is to just look around. With nuuvem, you're probably safe (don't quote me) if you can purchase the game without needing to use a Brazilian proxy. For me, I lurk the steam thread on GAF and any crazy deal will get talked about there. I'm fairly certain Batman is safe, but I'm gonna hold off until it's $5, since I'm a cheapass and I also haven't played Origins yet.

If there's a MicroCenter near you, they have Forza Horizon 2 (Xbox One) for $27. B&M only, though.

From what I've read, it should say on the left side of the product page if it's region locked.

You shouldn't have to use anything other than Google Translate and Paypal to buy Batman from them. No add ons or extensions.

Also posted in the Wolfenstein thread:

Over at Amazon, if you buy the $20 code for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood you get a $15 credit good for Wolfenstein: The New Order, which is currently going for $25. So you would get both games for $30.

Yes, great deal! I had some Amazon points stored up too so the first Wolfenstein game only cost me $6 out of pocket.

That'll show Sony to listen to early anticipation of their own products when they announce them as Japan-only devices. HAH!

That thing could have been great, but they made it oddly crippled by not allowing any media features on it.

Lots of Xbox One games on sale directly through Microsoft. Shipping is free. A couple of the standouts:

Mortal Kombat X for $44.99
Forza Horizon 2 for $44.99
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for $29.99

More on MS Store's Xbox Deals page.

I picked up MLB 15 The Show on PS4 yesterday for 39.99 at Best Buy. I'm not sure if it is a sale plus the GCU discount but it didn't show that when checking out.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Probably the last big XB1 deal before E3. If you held out this long, might as well hold out a little longer. But still a pretty good deal regardless:

Dell has 500GB Microsoft Xbox One Console Halo: Master Chief Collection Bundle + $100 Dell eGift Card on sale for $379.99. Shipping is free.

Bundle Includes:
500GB Microsoft Xbox One Console Halo: Master Chief Collection
$100 Dell eGift Card
State of Decay (Xbox One)
Killer Instinct (Xbox One)
Halo Dogtags

If dell sells MS points, I don't think you are going to beat this deal any time soon.
