Halo 4 is $40 with $10 Instant Video credit at Amazon.

Did Best Buy give up on their announced price-matching of Amazon? I can't seem to find any reference to it on their site.

FYI, thread on CAG is saying toys r us will be doing a buy 2, get $50 off starting next Sunday. Lots of titles, including hitman absolution and far cry 3, which are the last two games of the year I was looking for deals on. Not too shabby at $35/each.

Amazon has Playstation All-Stars Vita and Little Big Planet Vita for $19.99 each. LBP is currently out of stock and has to be selected in the the more buying choices part, also don't forget The PS3 All-Stars includes a download of the Bita version.

Price-matched/adjusted Halo 4 at BB with the Target ad. $39.99 + $20 reward cert at release is a pretty great deal.

Thanks for the head's up re:Target ad. Cancelled my Amazon order and instead picked Halo 4 up at Target for $32 ($39.99, less 5% Red Card discount and $10 GC from last week's Target Facebook promotion).

And to think I almost paid full price a couple weeks ago.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Best Buy has a buy 2 get a $40 gift card deal running this week. You can price match the games and still receive the gift card. I just bought Far Cry 3 ($49.99 Frys PM) and Fifa 13 ($39.99 Amazon PM) for $90 and still got the $40 gift card.

Here's the list of games included in this deal:

Forza Horizon
Fifa 13
NBA Baller Beats
Far Cry 3
Skyrim
Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Assassin's Creed 3
Hitman: Absolution
Epic Mickey 2
Halo 4
Madden 13
Resident Evil 6
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Dishonored
Sleeping Dogs
Kinect Star Wars
Just Dance 4

Plenty of price matching opportunities on that list.

No way my Best Buy would allow that.

As long as you can get them to PM (not sure why they wouldn't), the gift card should not be an issue. It pops up on the screen when the cashier finalizes the transaction.

that is a nice deal. i am gonna try it with RE 6 and Hitman: Absolution pm'd to Amazon @ $39.99ea. plus i have a $50 GC which would essentially make this a great deal and give me back $10 after all said and done if my calcs are correct.

This is YMMV. It requires you to have a cashier that won't ask the manager for help once the promo screen pops up.

It's similar to getting Target to pm Best Buy on the 3ds xl bundle and still getting a $20 Target gc. They shouldn't be doing it but some reps don't know better / don't care.

RE 6= $39.99
Hitman= $39.99
Total= $86.65

My GC= -$50.00
Final Total= $36.65

BB GC= +$40.00

essentially= -$4.65!

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

^ Not singling you out Scott, but why would anyone even vaguely consider counting a previously obtained gift card or RZ cert or similar payment in a post on a public forum. It is non-sensical. I might as well post that I bought a $40 game at Target for $5 after the $35 my grandma gave me. It serves no purpose and could confuse people. You paid $86.65.

i see what you're saying. my bad. i was just posting my complete transaction. i realize it only benefits me, but technically i didn't pay $86.65.

bottomline, i successful pm'd Amazon for 2 games and got the $40.00 gc without any hassle or manager approval.

Also "technically" they didn't give hand you $4.65 to take two games off their hands. The $40 GC is off a different purchase.

FYI, was worried about the same at my store, so I ordered online with in store pickup, then called in for two adjustments after picking the games up. Worked just fine.

I have no problem counting the $40 GC he received as part of the discount. For some of us, Target or BB GC are as good as cash. I know for absolute certain I am gonna spend money on something there every couple of weeks.

Agree with the ridiculousness of counting the $50 GC he already had in hand. No different then me saying I found a $20 bill in the parking lot so the game only cost me $40 instead of $60. Doesn't apply to everyone.

Not that anyone cares what I think.

It doesn't matter how you account as long as you only account once. Me? I don't count it until I use it. If it was a gift, I count it as cash. If it's a reward, it's bonus.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Assassin's Creed III is Amazon's deal of the day for $33. I found the game to be a boring chore but YMMV.
