Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Got $10 credit from Amazon for getting ODST but it has to be used in the next 10 days.

Does anyone know if it counts to spend it on a game that wont ship till November or does it have to be used on something that will ship before it expires?

The TRU B2G1 has been reported on CAG as being the week of 10/11-10/17.

You can use it for pre-orders which won't come out until after it expires, as long as you place the order before it expires.

Best Buy has a few games marked down 50 percent off. Most are crappy kid games but i did find Fifa Street 3. It said $20 but rung up as $15. With the half off I ended up only paying $7.49

Guitar Hero 5 is $29 on Amazon right now. 360 version only.

With double ECA, I bit($25+Prime). I'm a weak, weak man.

If you still have some of the old ECA codes(pre - 9/30) they stack with the new codes for 20% off.

Wait. So can I cancel my pre-orders, use that same code and stack a new one on top for 20%?

If you made your pre-orders with the old codes, yes that will work. I cancelled two (Fallout & Lego Rock Band) and reordered to stack them.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yep, seems that way. I'm gonna cancel my Lego Rock Band order and re-order it now. I'm also contemplating adding Brutal Legend and Dragon Age since they are both $56.99 and come with $10 off coupons.

$114 for Lego Rock Band, Dragon Age Origins and 2 1600 MS Point cards. Plus $10 coupon for buying Dragon Age... not too shabby!

If anyone is looking to pick up a great suspenseful video game for Halloween, Amazon has Dead Space for $19.99 w/ free shipping (PS3 or 360)

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It is a universal price drop. Should be $19.99 everywhere shortly, including your favorite local B&M retailer. Amazon probably has the platinum hits version.

$19.99 with free shipping at Newegg

Looks like Amazon and ECA are putting a stop to the stacking. ECA is currently not offering any more Amazon codes according to CAG. Though I believe they will be brought back once they figure out how to stop stacks.

weak. It was a nice bonus to those that actually paid for a membership since the free memberships came along after the last batch of codes. I was waiting for New Super Mario Bros. Wii to hit my Gold Box but I guess now is time to pull the trigger before they figure this out.

*edit* Still works, got in on NSMB Wii ($39) and Dead Rising 2($48).

And just an FYI, you can preorder Metroid Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2. I just placed an order for those two plus Bioshock 2 and NSMB all with the 20% discount. If you decide you don't want it later, you can cancel. Basically I've just pre-ordered just about everything I can think of by stacking these ECA coupons. Since I'd placed a number of different orders I had plenty of these codes in my account when I consolidated.

Now all I have to do is keep track of the preorders and published reviews so I know when I start needing to decide which ones I'm going to keep. The list is ridiculous.

edit with list:

PS3
Bioshock 2
Dragon Age
Assassin's Creed 2
Lego Rock Band
God of War Collection
Star Wars Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition
Uncharted 2
Gran Turismo 5

Wii
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Other M

I'm just not close enough to a TRU to make that deal more worthwhile than double-stacking ECA coupons with Amazon Prime. Especially considering I'd have to return and worry about exchanging games and all that nonsense. Plus I've got some $10 Amazon pre-order credits stuck in there and more on the way with this batch.
