It sucks that I buy games right away...when deals like this pop up it goes to waste for me.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So sick...., so I decided to visit Best Buy for lunch today. Had to ask for the magazine which they had hiding somewhere for some reason. I snag the three games (Batman AC, Mass Effect 2 and Rage)and the magazine and walk to the cash register. As it turns out, the lady had to ring up the magazine first. (not sure why but anyway) Then I take the coupons out and hand to her to ring up the rest. $19.97+tax. Plus...I had a $20 Reward Zone certificate. At first, she wouldn't let me use it, so I decided (split second decision, if I had thought about it, I would have probably bought a pack of gum) to just buy protection on one of the games. Walked out the door with three games and a mag for $8 and some change. Gotta love it. (BTW, Rage is a $15 coupon which makes it $5 not including the magazine)

which game? That protection covers everything right? After you beat the game you should use that as a frisbee for a week and take it back and see if they replace it.

Crap. Of course I had to go and use $15 of RZ certs to buy ME2 for 5 bucks last week. Good to know I wasted them.

I'm going to wait a long, long time before I buy ME3. Gives me an excuse to go back and finish ME2 eventually. Then the DLC I bought at the Christmas sale, I suppose. By the time I'm done, maybe ME3 will be $5 as well.

I did it for Arkham City (it just happened to be first). That is the one game that will go to my wife to play. She had a blast with Arkham Aslyum and will do the same with AC. I might go in and download the Robin/Nightwing stuff and mess with the challenge maps but I'll stick to ME2 and Rage. But it might be a frisbee after she's done with it LOL. Nah, she's pretty good about that kinda stuff. But yeah, that protection is supposed to cover everything for 90 days I believe.

Yep if you already have the magazine. If not, just tack on $5 for it. Me and my wife always call each other when we find crazy deals. She wiped out an Avenue that was closing here recently (like $300 of clothes for $40)a couple of weeks ago...I think I got this week in the bag. Being a cheap bastard is awesome

Picked up Rage, ME2, and Batman AC w/ the mag for $27.00. That's better than Black Friday! Now I will just add them to my insane stack of unplayed games.

I frequent CAG and slickdeals occasionally, but for the most part I rely on DVDTalk for everything I need in life.

I trust one of you to share the really stellar deals here.

Stopped at a Best Buy on the way home from work last night and snagged Batman AC, Mass Effect 2 and Rage for $20. Even if I didn't own a 360, that's the sort of deal I can't resist.

I think I spend more time shopping for and buying video games than actually playing them. Maybe I'll give that aspect up next Lent.

Cool. But I just remembered that I'd have to buy another magazine, so factor that in your decision.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

My copy of Arkham City was a christmas gift that is still unopened, so I just sold it on Amazon and made about 25 bucks after fees and shipping. Now I think I'll go to best buy and get Arkham and Rage for $20 + tax, lol.

My copy of ME2 is also unopened, but I used $15 of RZ certs on it. If i go ahead and buy another copy of that too, and return my first one, will I get my RZ certs back?
