I hate myself for buying Disneyland at launch from New Egg. It won't even be opened until Christmas.

I spent $35 at Amazon for it for BF week. It was a good deal. Used $20 credit it on it, so I don't know how all of that works with returns and Amazon shipping and stuff so I'm not even going to mess with it.

Ditto. I actually bought that other Disney game as well --- at $50 at launch only to see it for $30 or less routinely since befor BF.

That's one thing that Amazon has going for it... for the TRU b2g1f, I returned most of the games I bought because I got them cheaper on BF anyway. Amazon games, however, are too much of a hassle to return... sure they were good deals when I bought them and I love Amazon, but man the Black Friday and post BF deals blow them out of the water.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from this year’s BF sales it’s don’t buy any of the new releases before Thanksgiving. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen such new releases on sale for such low prices. Even with the K Mart coupon train, I’m pretty sure I would have saved some money waiting.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I am surprised that Best Buy is having so many great video game deals. I have never ordered this much crap from Best Buy before. Usually all my crap is bought from Amazon during the holidays.

Same here. Only thing that sucks is the "pick-up" only option on a lot of these. Even worse for me is that the closest Best Buy is always out and I have to resort to the one that's quite a bit further across town.

Anyone think this is likely to get any cheaper by the end of February, or is this probably the best I'll do?

I ask because my wife asked me what I wanted for my Birthday, which is near the end of Feb, and I told her this.

She asked me where to buy it, and I told her I'd let her know... so should I point her this way, or should I hold out for something better?

I have plenty of games to keep me busy in the meantime, so that part isn't a concern.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'd imagine SR3 would be down to $30 before February. If that's the only one you want. But with the right combo in the B2G1, it's hard to beat right now.

I bought three xbox360 copies of SR3 for 79.98 + tax and sold two of them for 46.99 each on amazon marketplace. After fees got $83 and shipping was under $4 total. The one I kept ended up costing me about 7 bucks including taxes.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Looks like Amazon has matched the BB deal on SR3.

So probably the deal above isn't quite as sweet anymore, as I'd have to resell them for less than that.

Good deal for anybody who'd rather shop at Amazon though.

Fuck! I knew I should have waited
It's $3.30 more after taxes from BB, but I think returning it to a store (time and gas) isn't worth that small a difference. I already got the shipping notice too.

Amazon also has a B1G1 Half Off... $89 for Skyrim and Revelations sounds decent.

On the flip side, I bought many of the new releases at BB, got the $100 in RZ credit for preordering 5 games and sold many of them back for half of what I paid. So, I basically broke even.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So I picked up a copy of Disney kinect(for 19 bucks)...and now I am wondering what I was thinking...two teens at home will have NO desire to play this...my youngest (who is 10) might...but my guess is she will go back to her own thing after 10 minutes...leaving me with a Disney kinect game...

On a side note...any and all achievements on my profile from this game will be my daughters...and only my daughters...if it ends up showing 700 or more achievements...uh..that was her...

Unhuh. Whore

However, I'm one to talk...I have Rumble Roses and Leisure Suit Larry achievements on mine. And I wouldn't mind have a few more of the former (the latter sucks too bad) at some point. Oh wait, I'm not a whore, I'm just a dirty old man.

No shame. I did the Avatar thing when I had Gamefly. Totally worth it seeing 1,000 points pop up so fast.

For those who have been watching the price gently go down over a very long time. Alice for 360 on Amazon is now down to $29.99. It is also part of the Buy 1/Get 1 for 50% deal too.

Bastion is $5 on Steam daily deals. Not sure if it's mentioned yet, but if you go every day on Steam and click on the daily deal you're automatically entered in the wishlist givewaway. Every day ten people will win the top ten games on your wishlist.

Wow. It isn't that bad. I know I didn't pay for it personally, but I would have plucked down $15 for it. That's amazing, seriously. A couple year old sports games sell for higher than that.
