Help!!-ps3

i'm having trouble with the dvd player, it allways goes to widescreen but this just looks stupid on my t.v, a thin strip in the middle. i just want to know if you can change the display settings to fill the hole screen. thanks, johnny.

1. Do you have a widescreen television?

2. What movie are you watching? Several movies have an aspect ratio of 2.35:1 which means they will be letterboxed on a 16x9 television.

I don't think the PS3 has a setting that will turn your widescreen DVDs into fullscreen DVDs. The PS3 also has no zoom feature so you will not get your whole screen filled unless you buy fullscreen DVDs.

Your screen has a hole in it?

So you are saying that you want less movie on your TV? Just tape some cardboard on the left and right side of the screen and you will have fullscreen. Widescreen...live it, love it, accept it.
