It really isn't that bad considering. Plus they just barely came out. Give MS a chance to add clothes and other things. But then again maybe it's so much about the lack of choice. Maybe it's more about what most people have in their heads in terms of what style is.

I liked being able to put my wedding ring on my avatar even though the web pose prevents it from being seen.

To add to what Robo is saying, over time if we continue to customize our avatars as new content is released, this thread will dynamically update itself, which is part of the reason I suggested Tarantino put everybody in the first post.

Where is the face paint option at? I don't think I saw that when I messed around with it. I saw options for eyes and lips but not the stuff I am seeing in this thread.
