Yes. They talked about adding this feature a few updates back. That way people could essentially wipe a game's slate clean and start over fresh. So it seems it's almost built in already just a matter of letting people actually do it legitimately.

Awesome! I can finally delete FIFA 06... assuming I can get a copy of the disc. Time to call up my swap-shop-manager buddy for a favor

Cool. Too bad the ex took Guitar Hero with her when she left me, I guess I'll just have to until it's fully enabled to get that blemish off my card (and Dead or Alive 4 and Ridge Racer 6, haha).

I thought it was pretty easy to find. Just scroll up about 20 posts to 4:30pm yesterday.

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/article...-to-8-1-titles

Xbox 360 attach rate grows to 8.1 titles

The Xbox 360 has a software attach rate of 8.1 titles, according to Microsoft, with third-party games generating more revenue at retail for publishers than the Wii and PlayStation 3 combined.

That's according to Microsoft, in a month where third-party game sales on Xbox 360 topped USD 298 million.

"We've created the optimal line-up of experiences this holiday season for families seeking lasting entertainment value, particularly during rough economic times in the US and abroad," commented Don Mattrick, senior vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

"We have the largest library of games, TV and movie content and the most expansive and rewarding social experiences. We're confident Xbox 360 will continue to drive record sales around the world this holiday and beyond."

Total software sales for the console in November reached USD 408 million, according to Microsoft.

The Xbox 360 sold 836,000 units in November, with Gears of War 2 one of the best-selling games for the system.

Well, I borrowed FIFA to try the removal and no go. Ever time I did it, it was removed from my achievement list but it would just come back. Oh well

I wish Microsoft would just enable it for us. I see no problem with "punishing" ourselves by deleting gamerscore.

I see no problem with having pitiful gamerscore completion percentages.

Yeah, I think it's funny that people care enough to try and delete scores.

Since I couldn't I decided to just go ahead and get the remaining 950 points. Chalk another completed retail game up

Whats up guys. My 360 is saying unplayable disc with everything I put in it. I even put in a cleaner disc and it won't even read that. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need a new xbox?

Will Microsoft send me a new xbox for this, or do I have to have the red ring of death?

Depends on how old it is. There are also ways to force yourself to get RRoD.

I just ordered a Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle. Dell.com was offering free shipping + I found a 20% off coupon, so $169 total. And after researching online, it appears an Arcade version is the best chance at a Jasper. Hopefully that's what I get, but if not, that's fine too. I'll add the HDD later.

Let your extended warranty expire?
I bought mine from Overstock with a 2 year extended warranty on Black Friday, 2006 (back then MS offered only a 90-day warranty). Sure enough, 24 1/2 months later, it died on me this morning. At least I finished Gears 2 last night.

They're sending me a coffin. What's the turn-around time running these days?

Oh, and I like how the reps always act like this is the first time they've ever heard of the "three flashing lights" problem.

I had a power surge a few minutes ago, and hello RRoD (3 lights, not the 4 sometimes seen after power outages). It came back on, but considering all the disc read errors I get, it looks like coffin time. Bah.

Mine red ringed last Tue, mailed it Wed. Got it back the following Fri(yesterday) but of course, I was at work and missed the delivery So I called UPS and am having them deliver it to my place of employment My system was born in late 06 and had developed many problems. I am ing that they swapped out mine with an HMDI one.......but since they had it "in repair" for about a week......I am pretty sure they resuscitated my original! Well anyway, on........

Save the box that they ship it back to you in, so you don't have to wait for a coffin when it RRoDs a third time. You can just print a label and ship it off.
