I'm gonna shut down for a bit cause the kids want to play the Wii (had it sitting on my name since my about 1:30) but I will open the town back up a bit before my Nook's closes (9pm EST) if anyone still needs to get in.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

Thanks again for opening, Pixcy! My kids were excited to see nearly 2 million bells in my account - which was quickly spent on the Lighthouse and paying off their houses.

Well guys, I did it. I hacked my Wii just so I could get grass in this fucking game. And you know what? It was worth it!

My town is so beautiful lush and green. I don't know why I was hesitant. I haven't loaded anything. I haven't cloned items. I'm not giving myself free bells. I just wanted my damn grass back.

It actually looks just strange now. I will probably let some paths form, but then when I have problems again, back to the refresh grass.

Could you send me a pm on how to do it? I'm so sick and tired of living in a dirt town.

It can be a lengthy process, especially when you're me. However there are some good walkthroughs out there. I sent you the ones I felt were easiest for me.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

If you don't have a Red Pikmin hat yet, you might wanna load up Animal Crossing today. Pete should be waiting by your house with a letter from Nintendo.

It's only Wednesday, but turnips in my town are 202 if anyone wants to sell early. Let me and I'll try to open up for a bit.

My wife got her hat today.

The next scheduled delivery date for a special item is the day the DSi gets released.

Oh you guys.....

Missouri Police: Animal Crossing is Pedophile Haven

"There is no reason an adult should have this game," says Task Force member Andy Anderson, directly before Missouri's KMIZ news adds the following inference: Anderson says adults playing "animal crossing" and similar games are likely doing it for the wrong reasons.

Im surprised this hasnt been mentioned here yet. Silly people

With all due respect to officer Anderson, isn't this the same as saying:" ...all adults going into an ice cream shop are likely doing it for the wrong reasons?"

Perhaps his passion to combat this kind of crime has led him to utter this prejudiced statement...however; his concern is well taken and parents no doubt need to be very mindful of all of their children's activities including the use of computers and all sort of electronic communication devices available today, such as cell phones, instant messaging and the like.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

What a joke ... so kids that play Halo/GoW/CoD are doing it for the wrong reasons as well?

This officer is only trying to make a name for himself .. Guess someone needs to step into the shoes of Jack Thompson.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

So the millions of adults that don't have kids that went to see Finding Nemo are all pedophiles. Honestly I'm just sad for the guy because obviously he has seen so many bad people that he sees them everywhere.

My GF worked in social work and she said that someone once said that a sign of suspicion is if they have Star Trek in their home. I must be some kind of pedophile playing Animal Crossing in PIP while watching ST:TNG reruns.

Anyways, anyone have any good turnip prices? Mine are at an all time low of 32

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

Spainlinx0: I think the only new bug for April is the snail. Mosquito doesn't show up until June; Orchid Mantis, August.

I caught a spider finally today as well. Now if I can only catch a danged bee!!!

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

You're not using my bee tips? When a bee pops out pull out your net (use the D-pad), and then run to the nearest tree, and start running in circles around the tree. At some point, stop, wait half a second, then swing your net. Don't aim or anything. Bee caught.

I got a regular mantis this morning on one of the flowers. My son got a seahorse earlier too (didn't see that on the fish list).
