Yes, you can hear anyone with a mic (and change the volume on them if you wish) and there is an onscreen keyboard to type messages. There are also a couple of preloaded phrases (such as "Good morning" etc) to save you typing time. The Wii also is compatible with USB keyboards. You can plug one into the back and type from it, which is considerably faster than using the Wiimote.

Finally. Although you may be disappointed since you have played the previous 2 iterations. The grass wear is horrendous. Prepare for desert land after a few weeks.

They are 72 in my town today. Thankfully I dumped them all yesterday when they were 426.

Wow, am I upset. This morning my Nook was buying Turnips for 158. I sold all but one bundle. Well... now they are 544!!! I'm so mad. At least I sold one bundle for that but I'm still upset. Anyway, I'll have my town open for a while and at least before he closes at 9pm. Maybe it'll help someone else out...

Hey achau! Sorry I haven't been on, super busy at work. But I have my gates open right now and they'll be open for the next couple of hours. I would mail you the items, but last time hung and I mailed each other some items, it literally took over a month for us to receive them!

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

The peacocks were out tonight. I had three of them in a section I had set aside for hybrids. However I still have had no luck with the spider. It is the one thing I have left to catch for this month.

Well, our turnips are only at 117 but if anyone has to get rid of any and would like to see the meteor shower, the town is open right now. I'm not actually on the game right this second, just left it open.

That's so weird that you rarely see them. I wonder why? I constantly shake them out of trees.

Do they make a sound when they come out of trees? Do the trees have fruit in them? Have you found one in a cedar tree?

No, they don't make a sound. They just fall down like the bagworms did. Sometimes the trees have fruit in them and yes, we have found bugs in the cedar ones. The only tree we haven't found a bug in are the coconut ones.

Edited to say that I know spiders should be available all day but I think we find them more in the evening, at least in Funville.

Odd that you haven't been able to see a spider. Reshaking the tree did the trick. Never did pick up a bagworm. Are they already gone for the season?

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

Bagworms have been gone for a while. I'll let you know when they reappear when I get home. I will be posting in this thread letting people know the new bugs and fish every month, for those who don't feel like checking the wiki.

I looked for a spider as well and could not find one, then one day I shook a fruit tree and the spider came out, only to realize I was not carrying my net. When I came back to the same tree, the spider was gone! About a week later, while I was using another character, I was able to get the spider from a regular tree, but I can't remember what time of the day it was. I think early morning or late evening might give you a better chance.

It seems certain visitors, conditions and items are very rare or non-existent in my town. For instance, I've had Kaitlin the Cat Mom 8 or 9 times, yet I've never had the kitty.( By the way, I have Kaitlin again today, kitty is lost in O-Town).
The Wisp (ghost, I've only seen once in 4 months, I check every night).
I have never seen or heard UFO (Gulliver must be in another galaxy).
Since snow season ended, I had not had any precipitation until this past Saturday, yet every town I visited had rain during those weeks.

If time travel negatively affects any of these events, I will say that I've only TT once and that was over 3 months ago.

I know what you mean. I have about 10 orange roses, and 15 orange pansies, yet I have never grown a purple pansy, and I can't get black roses for shit after getting a few golds.

Im forcing it to grow what I want. In fact have rearranged my entire town's flower arrangements to do so. If you want black roses put huge areas down of nothing but reds or blacks.

Dont let reds/yellow touch to make oranges. Dont give it the chance.

Make entire fields of the flowers you want and let it do the magic.
