No idea. I haven't bought any GH DLC because of the lack of cohesion. I do know the few tracks I did get (Stan Bush's The Touch) doesn't integrate in anyway. Neither did RB1, though, which GH:WT was very similar to. With the omission of a World Tour mode.

I actually use the same character to play guitar as I always have. Axel Steel. It's kind of a tradition going back to GH1.

I will never forgive Neversoft for turning Judy Nails into a filthy whore.

I don't think I saw this posted but, Gamestop is running a sale on the whole band kit for $89 until July 17th. RB drums alone are that much. Might be worth it to pick up the bundle and then sell off the game, guitar and mic to keep an extra drum kit around.

I don't think I've even played GHWT since early February, and that's a shame because they do have some good songs, I just can't force myself to put the disc in. Every time I feel like playing it I think about some new DLC on RB and end up throwing that in instead. Another big gripe is the singing, it's broke and lifeless. I can sing a song on RB/hard and get 98-100% but fail the same song on GH on medium?? WTF?

I suspect the reason they are getting rid of these is that there is a whole new guitar and drum kit coming out with GH5.

So do you really want 3 drumkits? At least with GH5 you can actually have 3 drummers play at once so I guess its could be easy to justify.

Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour - The One and Only Thread (Part 3)

I play WT quite often with my wife (Her-Guitar , myself drums, both Hard)

We play from the Career>Band from the main menu, then choose individual songs from the complete list. I just noticed that our game stats and cash earned are not being recorded (after the game results we don't get the white statistic screen where they tell you how much cash you won and shows you the level "patch" you currently are on)

Anybody knows why is this? Our Band score isn't being recorded either

Seem pretty easy overall. But some god damned annoying ones (like the 8-way guitar battle).

They talk about "Challenges". I guess they really like what RB2 added with Tour Challenges.

It's a good step in the right direction. The challenges take little to no overhead to setup and deploy online. They can be continually updated for the life of the game and enhanced with DLC you purchase. RB got this right. GH would do well add this and improve upon it in some fashion.

Methinks we'll be waiting a long time for that.
