Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour - The One and Only Thread (Part 3)

Let's what I want from I, II and 80's, the ones I've never played:
I:
Cochise, Iron Man, No One Knows (Is this a DLC in RB?), maybe Cowboys from Hell.
II:
Free Bird (DLC?), Heart-Shaped box (DLC?), Killing in the Name, Life Wasted, Misirlou (), Sweet Child O'Mine (DLC?), Them Bones

and a few from the 80's

I hope they lean towards GH 1 and 80's just because they aren't on 360.

And if they touch GHIII, I hope they redo the charts.

GHII is near perfect me (minus masters).

Barracuda is from GH III, so we know they are going to hit on that game at least a little bit.

TTFaF as well. Yeech.

I have a feeling that Sweet Child shows up in this, which will pretty much be all I need to push me over the edge.

Are there going to be other challenges?
Unfortunately since we didnt qualify in the Elite 8 we (DVDTalk's tour group) are out of luck.

I guess you could disband from DVDTalk group and join one of the current Elite 8 groups though to continue in the tourney?

I don't know, based on some of Axl's comments, I think he'd rather stick with the folks at Rock Band....he REALLY didn't like how they used Slash and "Welcome To The Jungle" together to sell GH3.....

Ditto. I never got to play the 80's and "Play With Me" alone would make me buy the compilation.

Re: Guitar Hero: World Tour - The One and Only Thread (Part 3)

Give me 'Bark at the Moon' and I'd buy this in a second. Depending on the number of tracks from GH1, I'd still probably pick this up (don't care about full band, just want the older tracks as masters and with the new engine).

They said that they will be choosing songs that are both fun to play and that were popular. There are many songs that are hits that are not so fun to play and vice versa. So seeing what they come up with will be interesting.

All the chartings will be redone using the latest chordings, HO/PO techniques and such that were not available in earlier games. And adding the drum, vocal and bass tracks. So all charts will be redone for all songs it seems.

Another thing I thought of for Wii owners is since the DLC has limitations, why not sell SD cards with the tracks on them? I dont know if PS3 or 360 has a SD slot but why not offer this as another way to get tracks to people? Plus no disc swapping.

I can understand the appeal of that song, although I don't like listening to it or playing it, but the only thing that I would like less than playing the guitar track is signing those lyrics.

So is it 5 codes, one for each song?

Makes you wonder wtf took them so long to acquire these.
