EDIT: The new Game Informer with Dragon Age on the cover has an article about the process of making Bandmates, as well as a two-page article on how songs are made in Rock Band (from song selection to charting). If either of these need to be transcribed, let me know.

Question for people with the RB2 guitar.
I bought one recently against my better judgement (cuz I have too many of these plastic guitars) and one of the biggest reasons is because I was curious about trying the auto-calibrate function. It seems to work on my setup, the audio setting is pretty close to what I get manually, but the video setting it gets is more than double what I get manually. It also feels off if I try to play with the auto-calibrated video setting, so I'm pretty sure it's not right. Tried various distances and it actually is pretty consistent (64ms) but consistently wrong. Strange.
I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, just wondering what results others here may have had?

So I added in the Top 10's for every leaderboard (that has career) for everyone on DVDTalk Rocks in the Band Lineups post. If I didn't know your username, I put your gamertag and some ???'s, so you can fill me in if you want.
I plan on updating this every two weeks or so.

Wow! I just finished the Infinite '90's Challenge...straight through...1 pee break...33 songs. 159 out of 165 stars! I even gold starred Souls Of Black which I had never heard before this challenge. Only 4 starred Painkiller (another that I had never heard before today). My throat is so sore!!! No more singing until this weekend. I didn't even get an achievement for doing it! LOL
Time to play Dead Space and give my voice a break! LOL

Welcome to Rock Band: Official Thread of Kijdhefgi Bragging All The Time
Just beat the Endless Setlist 2 on solo expert vocals! 5*'d everything to give me the coveted 420/420. Also FC'd a few I've been working on and gold-starred 64 of them, including the dreaded Mountain Song! That puts me at 83/84 total gold stars, with the only bastard being Spoonman. I'm gonna have to do it again in the future when I make a dedicated vocalist character but for now Kij is platinum guitar/vocals.
BUT WAIT! Since I did this without pausing or failing, I got The Bladder Of Steel, which also makes me 1000/1000 in RB2!
I'm flipping out so here's pictures ajksfhlajsflhas;d
I've been playing so much Dead Space that my dinner looks like necromorphs

I have to say that I think the difference is the guitar itself. After using the RB1 guitar for the past year and mashing down on the strum to get it to register, this new guitar is really different. The strum is very sensitive, like you barely have to touch it, and even the frets are more sensitive. I thought my problem was calibration too, but after setting it to 0/0, I did the "longest streak" challenge on bass, and hit 1,089 consecutive notes...so it clearly wasn't the calibration.
My problem is with rapid notes, but I'm starting to get it down. I really think there's just a "re-learning curve" of sorts with the new guitar if you're used to the old one. After a few hours though, I breezed through a song that I consistently had to struggle with before on the old guitar, and it felt awesome - so much easier to play. I'm loving the RB2 guitar so far, hopefully it holds up.

Yeah, it's going to take some getting used to for me. I've been Les Paul exclusive for a year. The larger and recessed frets are giving me problems. I do like the new strum bar though, very sensitive and actually helps me hit notes faster(when I'm only up strumming it).
