So this game is already broken and hacked to hell online. We played last night and this morning and encountered people chainsawing with the shotgun among other things. You cannot pick what mode you want to play online either....just have to hope that people vote for what you want to play otherwise your stuck playing annex the entire time. I really want my damn online achievements but I guess I'll have to stick to private matches since public is un-winnable and not fun at all

Oh, that thing CliffyB said about the shotgun being fixed, and about people slowing down when you shoot them and not being able to chainsaw you....lies.

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this - but is this game appropriate for an 11-year old boy to play? He plays Halo3, COD4, and Team Fortress2, and he won't stop talking about GoW2. He wants it so bad that he'd risk not getting anything else for Christmas. But after watching the X Play preview, this game looks over-the-top gory and bloody - far worse than Call of Duty, Halo, etc..

Is the M rating pretty much for the violence and gore, or are there other themes in the game that give it the M rating?

BTW - I told him no - it's way too violent, but I'd like some other opinions since we don't have GoW1 and only judging GoW2 from the previews.

GOW had an option for reduced gore. Not sure about GOW2. Not sure about language though. I think that was always uncensored.

I thought I read in an IGN preview that you could tone down both the gore and language in GoW2. It's the sole reason I pre-ordered it. I want to play co-op with my 10 year old.

Reduced blood or not, you are still chainsawing people in half, blowing heads apart and what not. This ain't Halo. I'd say no to 11.

Yeah - it wasn't so much the blood as it was the method of the killing, exploding heads, etc. I guess he'll just have to wait until he's 16 or older when GoW8 comes out.

TRU didn't have the LE edition so I had to go to CC to get it. The good thing is that it rung up $50 for the game and $19.99 for the points card. So I'm going to stop by later in the week to see if I can return the points card. It's worth a shot. Oh, and a quick FYI, they only had 6 points cards when I was there (and I was # 4 in line with about 10 others behind me) so if you want the card, you might want to go very, very soon

I like playing games through the first time on normal then play again if I really like it on hardcore/expert etc. Do you feel hardcore in this game is easier than in GOW?
