You shouldn't care about the Wii's failings at this point anyway, Kelkee. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will.
Maybe by then they will have individual drums and such available and I can piece together the best set for both games then, and sell the kit to offset the costs. |

Looking oh so forward to to more An Endless
Sporadic. Hopefully just a few more days until I can play. Havent heard the new track yet. Is it anything like Impulse or something entirely different? |
Played some more last night, have more issues with the game now:
Does the mix sound flat to anyone else's ears? All the songs don't have much thrust behind them. I was playing Mr. Crowley and when the guitar kicked in, it sounded so meager. Doesn't sound like that on the album. But it's not just Mr. Crowley. Everything sounds toned down. It's especially easy to notice on the duplicate songs from RB, because you have a direct game version to compare it to, and WT definitely sounds like the mix is flat. Also, what the hell is that instrument you're meant to be playing in Beat It? You're playing the guitar part, then there's that alternating red/yellow section where it sounds like you're playing a slap bass or something. It's not a part of the song I've heard before. It may very well be somewhere in the master recordings, but not the mix that's on Thriller. Finally, does it seem like the angle of the chart is more shallow? I feel like I'm seeing less upcoming notes and that my eye is drawn more towards the bottom of the track, as opposed to the middle. I always play by looking towards the upcoming notes and I've found it very difficult to do that in WT. I have to make a conscious effort to pull my eyes up. Maybe it's just me, but I've never had this problem in any other GH/RB game. |

Hello, Rock Band...

I was wondering about the vocal audio options. Is there any way to completely mute it? You can in Rock Band, but in GHWT the best I could get is fairly quiet. (A very few) certains songs I would prefer to only hear my own voice. If it's Steely Dan or Motorhead I can use the help, but I don't need assistance with The One I Love.

That doesn't drop until December for the Wii.

I have it on whatever the default audio option is. Don't know if that's DD or not.
|
I think on the 360 version you have to manually enable Dolby Digital. On the PS3, DD seems to be the default there, as I can't even find the option to turn it on in the audio settings.
|
I enabled the DD on my copy, and the audio levels are weak as well.

This was something I wasn't that excited about, but I'm actually not minding it too much. It takes out some of the strategy, but extending SP while it's going on adds a little something in as well.
BTW XavierMike, I added you as a friend and looked for you the past two nights but you weren't on. Edit: I think I am going to try the tape trick with my drums first. I want to see if I can fix my bitchy orange cymbal and red drum. |
Agreed on the poor or quiet audio mixes. A lot of songs just don't sound "right."

At 1:51 in the Endless Sporatic video, he's holding the green down while HO/POing. Am I seeing that correctly? Also, are the note bubbles bigger now or are my eyes playing tricks? It looks more like Bubble Bobble than ever! Maybe I've just grown too accustomed to the Klax look :) .

Yup, it's a new feature in this game. They also have HO-sustains. I think there's one video I saw that goes all the way to a 4-note sustain by the end of the HO sequence.

Yep, that track looks to be just as fun as Impulse. :D

[rant]Well I finally found a song worse than "On The Road Again" for drums, and its that fucking Bob Seger song. I swear it felt like it was never going to end. I'm glad I beat the damn thing, because I never want to play it again (at least on drums). Maybe I will like it a bit more on guitar, but as it stands, fuck that song and fuck Bob Seger too. [/rant]

Didnt see this till today.
http://www.kfcrocks.com/ Looks like another challenge for rabbit... Plus they mention "secret codes" to unlock stuff in-game somehow. http://www.kfc.com/guitarhero/images/gh_home.jpg |
maybe i'm cynical, but couldn't someone easily photoshop their photo to show a higher score? hopefully they have some other form of verification.

Am I blind, or does it not even require you to do it on a certain song/instrument?

I tried the tape fix for my drums today and it didn't really work well for me. I'm really close to taking this whole mess back and telling them to keep it. It is ridiculous that we're having to clean up the mess that quality control should have taken care of before this product even hit the streets. Hooking the drums up to a pc with a program to adjust the sensitivity is unacceptable and should not have to be done by the consumer. At this point they can take a flying **** for all I care.
