Hoping to start playing a new wii game today.....Mario Galaxy maybe?

slappy 09-01-08 10:38 AM

I finally turned on the Wii today, and played a couple hours on Super Paper Mario: The 1000 Year Door. I love this game.

Yes... I'm way behind the times. Thankfully I can pick up old Gamecube games on the cheap, and enjoy them for the first time. I basically played no new games between the SNES and the Wii, so I've got plenty of stuff to try.

stingermck 09-01-08 10:45 AM

Need For Speed Carbon
Warhawk
Burnout Paradise
Mercenaries 2

fumanstan 09-01-08 10:49 AM

A shit load of Castle Crashers.

Walker Boh 09-01-08 11:04 AM

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: Slowly making my way through the "crushing" difficulty.

Rock Band: Finished the bonus songs on expert guitar. Now I just need to make it through Highway Star, Flirting with Disaster, and Green Grass and High Tides. Also played a bunch of DLC, including the new Locksley songs ... catchy tunes.

redcat 09-01-08 11:06 AM

I completed Resistance: Fall of Man after a couple of marathon sessions. I just picked it up about a week ago since the price went down. That game was amazingly addictive, and by the end of it, I had really gotten used to the PS3 controller as a good one for shooters. Also, it was fun to play a shooter where you can just keep all your weapons and the ammunition is everywhere.
Now I've returned to Halo 3 single player and am playing that. I abandoned it pretty early after it came out.

Quake1028 09-01-08 04:54 PM

Nothing yet. I have been at the beach all weekend :D.

But today I will play some:

Rock Band PS3
MLB 08: The Show PS3
NCAA 09 X360
Viva Pinata X360
Geo Wars 2 X360

I played a lot of games this weekend.

I finally beat the last remaining laboratory challenge in Worms 2 Open Warfare for the DS. (Draw Unlockable #2)

I played some more Destroy All Humans 2 for the XBOX.

I'm now 20 or so events away from the Burnout Elite License in Burnout Paradise.

I played a few more hours of Okami for the Wii.

I played a lot of Flatout Ultimate Carnage for the 360. This has to be one of the most frustrating games I've played. There are so many fun ideas in the game, but the controls are so floaty, and it feels like you have very little control over the car, any cone in the road could send you flying. But the stunt challenges are a lot of fun.

DaveWadding 09-02-08 03:15 AM

Lots of Madden (1000/1000 now)
Some Rock Band
Some MVP 05 PC

Chew 09-02-08 06:02 AM

Between the first and second islands, I still have 5 levels left to Rainbow on Pixeljunk Monsters----and those five are starting to annoy the crap out of me.

I also got about 7-8 levels into The Last Guy.

Yes, very frustrating early on. Once you get the hang of the 'floaty' controls, get better cars and upgrades it gets a little better. I did enjoy it more than Burnout Paradise, just by a hair. If the controls were as tight as Burnout I could consider it the sequel to Burnout we didn't get.

dvdsteve2000 09-02-08 07:37 AM

I played:

Soul Calibur 4: Nearing 900 achievement points, woo!!
Alone in the Dark-Luckily a rental, because damn is this game bad
Condemned 2: Bloodshot- excellent
Galaga Legions
Gears of War-New game for me, really fun

Plan on playing Rock Band & GH3 today (day off from work)

Brian Shannon 09-02-08 07:39 AM

Samething I always play DAOC. Bonus xp/rp/bp weekend and the action was brisk.

RichC2 09-02-08 07:40 AM

Some Smash Bros and Wii Sports on Saturday.

I'm on the last level of Bionic Commando: Rearmed but don't have the motivation to finish it at this point.

I still say that Resistance is a terrible game :D, such a cool idea, such dull execution.

Hung out with the folks and went boating for the other days.

lordzeppelin 09-02-08 07:47 AM

I spent most of my weekend out, but when I did game it was...

Castle Crashers
DOA4
Scene It! LCA ($20@ sears! Woo!)
and a bit of NeoGeo Battle Coliseum on the PS2...if the SamSho anthology doesn't come out soon, I may lose my mind.

Ditto. Well, maybe not that much.

Good stuff (if you like games like Golden Axe and Final Fight).

And a bit of Rock Band.
