Hold up, things just got even better:
The PS Blog posted the free list as : Dragon’s Crown (PS Vita, PS3) From the comments section: + Wario64 on July 30th, 2014 at 8:13 am said: Dragon’s Crown isn’t cross-buy + Kristine Steimer on July 30th, 2014 at 9:08 am said: You’re correct, it isn’t cross-buy, but I’ve been told Plus members will receive both versions. ^_^ |

Not so happy I bought Crysis 3 when it was $5. After Sony's recent statement about the EA Access program on the XO, I expect this to be the last EA freebie we see on PS Plus.
EA isn't known for turning down revenue streams, and I think the effect, if any, will be minimal. |

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I'll be up for some co-op Dragon's Crown if anyone's interested.
Road Not Taken doesn't look to be my kind of game, but if the game is half as funny as the trailer, I'll be well entertained. <object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/-_lUm1qlJ7s?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/-_lUm1qlJ7s?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="853" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> |

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
They're immediately available at Bestbuy.com. Borderlands bundle (newer model with worse screen) for $199.99

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
And it's also the reason that nobody will make retail Vita games anymore. Too many indie games and PS Plus freebies. Nobody wants to pay $40 for a single Vita game any more.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Anyone pick up Rogue Legacy? Thoughts?
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I haven't played it on the PS4, but Rogue Legacy on the PC is awesome.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Cool. Thanks.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I had family in town and forgot to get in on the RL pre-order. Now I wait until a sale.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I passed on RL since I'm not a fan of rogue-like games (though I hear this one might be the most forgiving and fun of the genre). I think I will wait for either a PS Plus freebie or a sale either here or on Steam.
I'm getting the other three games in the PLAY promotion though. The reviews for The Swapper sound great |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Not the greatest deal in the world, but considering that you almost NEVER get a deal on PSN credit, I felt it's worth pointing out that at Target, this week there's a Buy One (any) Gaming Card, Get a second at 25% off. If you buy a $20 PSN card, you'd save $5 on the second. $35 for $40 isn't amazing, but it's better than nothing. Also if you have a RED card, that's another 5% off (or $33.25 for $40).

Holy hell is Rogue Legacy difficult.

Will probably get the other three PLAY titles though. I pre-ordered The Swapper and there's a countdown on my PS4 XMB now -- very cool, actually. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Yeah, I didn't even have The Swapper on my radar but it looks fantastic.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
The Swapper is a great little game. Very cool atmosphere.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
It's gotten some very good reviews. I'm excited to check it out on the PS4.
From the countdown timer on my XMB, it looks like it'll unlock and be playable at Midnight, which would be cool but I'll be sleeping by then. If that's how preorders are now in the PSN store, that's a big improvement. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Here's the current sales for this week on the PSN Store :
Spoiler:
I mention this only because I'd like to point out that two PS4 launch titles - Battlefield 4 and Angry Birds Star Wars are on sale -- and Angry Birds is the more expensive one. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Finally got everything from the Plus freebies downloading (except for Crisis 3, too big to download for now). Lots of cross buys this week. Downloading Fez on 3 systems cuz they're all there. Fun stuff.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I would be all over that B4 premium for $32 if I didn't already trade it in.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Traded BF4 in for $40. Could get game and premium for $61. Kind of tempting.
Where is Planetside to save me from EA's bullshit??? |
