Anyone play PS2 Twisted Metal: Head-On and Lumines Plus (PSP ports)?

I was looking into getting both the PS2 "semi" ports of PSP games Twisted Metal: Head-On Extra Twisted Edition and Lumines Plus. I coudn't find anything substantial in the search; just wanted to see if anyone recommended these games (on PS2 or PSP).

I realize that neither are straight-on ports of PSP games, but I don't own a PSP so the ol' PS2 was getting the call. Thanks!

I played Lumines Plus on the ps2 for a bit and liked it a lot.Very addictive. Not sure about twisted metal though.

Very cool, thanks. I know Lumines and Twisted Metal aren't exactly companion franchises, but I coupled them together in this thread because of their PSP ties.

I really want to grab Lumines because The Next Tetris (PS1) is the only puzzle game I own for the PS2, and I was on the hunt for a "current" gen title. With Twisted Metal, I'm trying to figure out if I should snag TM Black or TM Head-on.

They're both good. Twisted Metal Black is one of the top-10 PS2 games, IMO, and it has aged pretty well. Head-On has 'lost levels' from Black, and plays pretty tight as well.

I picked up Black used for $5, and I've seen head-on for $10, so really, get both if you're a fan of the games, cause you can't go wrong for $15.

Thanks Zep. Which do you prefer now, Black or Head-on? Just from watching videos, Black almost looks better/funner to me, but I dunno. I know it is a more cohesive package, obviously.

Also, where did you land those great deals?

Black I found at a used game store, and Head-on (apply directly to the forehead) was running $20 last I checked, but it was on clearance somewhere that is escaping me now.

I've only played a match or two of Head-On at a kiosk, but I own Black. Head On, it seems, has a slightly less detailed graphics base (it was a PSP title, after all), but it runs pretty solid frames. As I said before, Black is one of the all-time best PS2 games. Start there, wait for Head-On to drop even further in price.

Thanks for the input!
