Some guy on the playstation underground examined all the posts on the lbp blog and discovered that in the first 1000 posts there were something like 300 duplicates. So if you were post #1330 or under you should have made the cut.

(and that doesn't take into account if any of the posters don't meet the eligibility the requirements.)

I entered a few sites...but have yet to "win". Oh well, no LBP Beta for me

I seem to miss most of these since I am at work.

On the bright side, less than a month until the full game is out.

I'm just going to wait for the game. Not going to waste time jumping through hoops for the beta when the game is out so soon and I've got Lego Batman and Rock Band 2 staring at me from the home entertainment center.

Did they give you the code right away or when you pick it up?

Right away. I didn't even put down $5. I asked the sales guy "Did you get those Kratos codes in yet?" He said "yeah" and handed me one. You might not be as lucky, but it's worth a try.

So I got a beta key from 1up for answering their trivia question today. I should be getting one from littlebigplanet as well. Small chance if any others come through that I'd get another one. But as of now, my next one will go to Brent. And then if I get another, or if Brent gets one, the next passalong should go to Decker. It also looks like DJ Longfellow is looking for one so him third.

And it also looks like Liver&Onions will be getting one from the LBP site.

That's very thoughtful of you, thanks. If not, it's no big deal -- we're only 3 weeks out now.

Oh, I would appreciate that. I tried on 1UP, but I am always too late. If anyone has one to spare, I would liek to test this game out before I pre-order.

Maybe I will pre-order to get a costume...are they generic codes? Best Buy also has them out already, correct?

Thanks a million TLwizard. I've got my fingers crossed that you can get one for me. I'm still trying on 1UP, so if I also get one after you send me one TL, it'll go to the next person on here from me as well.

I still think they just should've released this as a demo and let anyone who wants to give it a try to just go for it. I know, it's all about marketing and anticipation, but still.

EDIT:

If you sign up for the GameTrailers newsletter, they'll be sending out beta key codes to people tomorrow. It says "Sign Up Now and Get Your Code in Thursday's Newsletter!" on the main page, you have to click the little sackboy spaceman to see the announcement if it's not already the default news.

I bet they’ll just announce a contest in the newsletter, and not actually have a key for everyone, but we’ll see.

Here's a bit of info about the game. The first review is out (OPM UK), and it scored a 10/10:

G4 X-play website http://littlebigplanet.g4tv.com/xplay/lbp.aspx is having a random drawing that closes by thursday or friday.

Also, there's word on lbp street that Sony is simply using all of this as publicity and will actually open up the beta to everyone in the week before the game release to act as a demo.

And in other news, the game is a lot of fun.

Does anyone know if gamestop or other stores will be doing a midnight release? Seems like a big enough title to warrant it.

Oh well.
I think 1up got a lot of complaints yesterday about being during the workday, so it looks like today's quiz will be afterwards.

Go here: http://www.1up.com/do/minisite?cId=3170103 and then you have to pm sackboy once the trivia question goes up.

Woohoo, I won a code from 1UP tonight! I didn't get an email, I had to check my PMs to see the message. You can take me off the list TL, but once again thanks for being willing to help me out.

Any codes I get from here on out will go to all of you in need.

Awesome! You'll definitely enjoy it.

So next on the list is Decker. After that, it looks like DJ Longfellow. And then Michael Corvin.

Hopefully my code will still be coming in from the LBP site. So Decker should definitely be getting one. (Although, people are complaining that the LBP site isn't handing them out like they were supposed to, so who knows if I'll get it or not.)

Great news for me! Thanks.

If and when it comes in, please PM me the code. If I win one, I'll forward it on to DJL.

Ok, I just got in on the beta last night, and that was just downloading and installing before I had to go to bed. This morning before work I did the "credits" and the first little area, so I pretty much only have a feel for how sackboy moves around, and so far so good.

However, I must say, and don't shoot me for this, but from the few minutes I've been able to play so far the game certainly feels like something Nintendo would've created, or should've created first. I can just imagine using the remote to create the levels, it would be perfect. I know there are plenty of things that the Wii couldn't do that the PS3 is already doing, but still.

This is actually a compliment to Sony in my opinion. This is something I would've expected on the next Nintendo console, and Sony is ahead of the curve...without the remote obviously, but that's that. If it's true that Sony is creating a controller like that, it would be absolutely perfect for this game from what I can tell.

I can't wait to play the crap out of this beta version, and then own the official game in a few weeks. I'm going to have tons of fun with this one, I can already tell.
