Just checked my local GameStop and they're selling it for $60, so you're $50 is definitely the good deal.

Yeah, I checked it out. The game is still $59.99, they just had the display wrong and it was advertising the "PC Version" (which doesn't exist). Sorry for the confusion. I've edited my post above accordingly.

Here's the official box art :

Sometimes I'm like some of you and some time like the others regarding this game.

So, is this supposed to be a platformer (with a lot of puzzles) game? Can I play the game without creating anything myself, just following a (small) story?
Or it just have a couple of levels (examples?) and most of the game is just users creating new levels for this game?
The graphics look great and if it's a platformer I'm sold on this game.

It's a full platformer with a large numbers of pre-made levels. The story is still under wraps. The user-made levels are what makes it unique (along with the co-op ability), but it's a stand-alone platform game first and formost.

How many levels will be on the disc?

Around 50-ish. There’ll be an interlinking story, too, so it’s not just a random selection of levels. About the first half of the game is one long tutorial, introducing you to all the gameplay mechanics in the game.

Will there be any levels that require the Create mode to get to the end?

No, not to beat the level. Though there are levels where using the create mode will allow you to access hidden areas. The Create mode will have its own set of tutorials to get you used to it.

Sony has officially announced that October 21st is the release date.

Also, it seems that there will be some DLC specifically for early adopters. Whether that means just on the first day or the first week, I have no idea.

Here's a link with info: http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/09/19/...arly-bird-dlc/

Anyone else playing the Euro beta? I was very skeptical of how this game was going to turn out, but I'm hooked. It's aces.

Sounds good. How did you get the beta?

Eurogamer was giving out keys yesterday afternoon and somehow I managed to get through their mostly terrible registration process and nab a key while the site was getting hammered. Online play is a little shaky right now, but I'm not sure if the cause is a shaky connection on my end or that I'm probably mostly playing people from Europe (I'm American).

I didn't feel like wasting time jumping through hoops over this since I'm already sold on the game. Release is a few weeks away, why not just do a demo for everyone like Xbox Live? Oh that's right, this is PSN and that would be too logical of a move. Chances are they'll throw a demo on Quore and charge for it.

Yeah, you redeem a code like on XBLA and it knows what to serve you, in this case the beta trial. It was about 950 megs or so. Apparently the build in the trial is a few builds old, but it seems pretty complete.

There allegedly is supposed to be a North America beta, but no word on who is doing it or when it's going out. IGN was going to have a contest for it (draw your own LPB level, win a key), but nothing more has been heard on it. There is a thread on the Sony PS3 boards where a rep is going to post links to sites with the beta, but so far it's filled with kids begging.

By the way, Gamespot is about to hand out some beta keys if you watch their on the spot live show. You have to answer a trivia question at the end, and they said they have about two thousand keys to hand out.

I would assume so. But you may want to send customer service an email just to confirm. Even if they say no, just cancel and reorder.
