...sigh... Overlord, another game on the unplayed pile. It's a never ending battle.

I think we got ours at the same time - as soon as it dropped to $20. Mine sat unplayed for months, but I broke into it about 3 or 4 weeks ago and had a freaking blast with it. In fact, it was GW2 that pulled me away from it. I need to get back into it before Galaga, Castle Crashers, and Rock Band 2 hit!

There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning since it's so open-ended, but that goes away quick once you get your bearings (needs a mini-map!).

Highly recommended and I'll probably get Overlord 2 near to release.

Great news. Overlord is one of the most under-rated games of this generation.

I remember that. It's near the top of my unplayed pile. My goal for August was to get though Okami, Rainbow Six: Vegas (yes, the first one) and Tomb Raider: Anniversary. After that, Overlord, Assassin's Creed & Uncharted are on deck.

With half the month down I may make it. Where I stand:

Okami - 41 hours in. This thing has to be wrapping up soon. Although I'm not anxious to leave this world behind.
RS:V - On the last level
TR:A - About halfway through.

How long is Overlord anyway?

It was pretty quick, as I recall. I think in the 12-15 hour range.

Anyone play the Tiger Woods demo yet. I didn't buy 2008 which is the first one in awhile I didn't get, but I may get this the club tuner is cool, and I think taking shots is smoother, and it's easier to tell where you are making mistakes.

Thank you! I just signed up.
I'll try the beta later tonight.

Red Faction, the original, was one of my favorite games in the PS2. My roomate and me used to play that game until very late at night.

Its pretty cool so far a little different and since its a multiplayer beta you sort of get thrown in without any direction, but so far I like it.

Well after almost 3 years of owning my 360, I finally got the ROD earlier tonight. Thank God they'll still fix it for free.

My 360 got the RROD just after starting a game of Madden09 (It had just downloaded the update). I had some issues with it giving me a DRE with Rock Band, so I'm hoping it won't do that anymore.

The only time my 360 ever RRoD'd was after a game of Overlord

Great game, though.

I finally cracked open my clearance copy of Scene It? yesterday. I was dismayed to find the game in a slim case, not even the electric green that 360 games come in. Being anal-retentive about all my shit matching I spent the past few hours rectifying the situation. I know I'm not the only anal-retentive person on the board(or the only one that picked this up on clearance) so anyone that wants one just PM me your email address, or post below. My only request is that you don't send it out to anyone else or post it on another board.

Here she is:

It's not perfect, but I didn't want to spend an inordinate amount of time on this one. I figure 5-6 hours was plenty. Plus, most of the flaws will probably only be noticeable to the most eagle-eyed viewer.

Nice work Corvin. It's really too bad they didn't make that game online multi-player. It's a great party game.

Good job MC. I'm thinking of the opposite actually, moving everything into slimcases to save space. You just have to fold or trim the sleeves slightly on each side and viola, double the space.

You'll ruin the spine, Trevor! Don't do it. Might as well just get a binder.

Now if you want to get full slim conversions, more power to you

Stream Hulu, YouTube, and more to 360 or PS3 with PlayOn

Posted by Jeff Bakalar

Continuing the trend of media servers that play nice with home video game consoles, PlayOn! has apparently raised the bar. With the new beta software released to the public yesterday, Windows XP and Vista users can now stream video from sites like Hulu and YouTube directly to their Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and HP MediaSmart TVs.

(Credit: MediaMall Technologies)

The technology is fairly simple; the software grabs RSS feeds from video content providers and pushes them through over your home network. With support already encompassing ESPN and CBS, it would appear that PlayOn! brings us a few steps closer to officially ditching our cable or satellite boxes. Netflix support has also been promised to be included in a new version of the software as well as Nintendo Wii compatibility by year's end. There does seem to be a catch however--after the 60-day trial period, you'll need to pay $30 if you want to keep the software.

We had a chance to quickly set up PlayOn! with our Xbox 360 last night and were surprised as to how easy it was to get going. We were able to watch plenty of Hulu content but couldn't access any of the movies the site has to offer--only TV programs were available. Image quality was acceptable for streaming, but we did notice an occasional lag in playback. Look for more impressions and how-tos using PlayOn! in the coming weeks
