That's fucking awesome. I gave up on the franchise after Mega Man 3 and Mega Man X2. It's been a while.
With Mega Man 2 as the most highly regarded of the series, Inafune states that he'd like to surpass that with this game, and hopefully be able to make "a whole lot more." And finally, to the Mega Man fans, he says: "The moment you've been waiting for is here! We're not just giving you Mega Man 9, we're giving you a new NES game. This is a game that brings back the fun of the old games, and I hope you all enjoy it!" When the scans were posted at the Capcom*Unity, Corporate Officer and Vice-president of Strategic Planning & Business Development Christian Svensson stated "I will also say, NP only has part of the story. I'd ask for a thread title name change, but waiting for a more reputable news source would probably be good. Hmm... now decisions... go with the 360 with a demo, achievement points, not to mention I have a ton of marketplace points and live with a shitty d-pad or go out and buy Wii points at full price to play with a superior d-pad? |

Well, since 360 arcade games are required to be in HiDef, I think that's the version I'll go with, that, and my Wii is quickly running out of hard-drive space.

If this is going to have 8-bit graphics, it had better have an 8-bit price. I'm thinking 400pts on XBLA.

I'd be torn between WiiWare (where it belongs) and XBL (where I get added content benefits). Price wouldn't be much of a factor to me, just the superior experience. HD & achievements would factor as would controls.
