The AH prices are insane. I think the best items are going to keep going up in price as the elite players run out of ways to spend their gold. I need to find a couple super items so I can become rich. I now regret not buying a good lvl 63 weapon as soon as I hit 60 as it was a lot cheaper then...

i got a really nice 2h xbow (925dps, +700loh with a socket, 78 int and 56 vit are the other stats) for 150k about a week ago. sometimes its better to be lucky than good. i have a few other nice bows, but i can't sell them, so they are sitting around

on the diablo forums, a blue post says the next patch they are going to buff powers that no one uses..they did not say they were going to nerf the good ones....

I am still trying to perfect my inferno gear. I was able to get my resists near 700. However my damage was low at 40,000 DPS. After shopping around on the auction house I was able to get me a 1250 DPS crossbow with pretty good stats. I did pay $2 of my blizzard bucks, but that was not a big deal. I changed one of my passive skills from cult of the weak to steady aim and that boosted my DPS from 40K to 50K. I was quite surprised by that. With my new bow and a new ring, boots and chest armor -- I was able to get my DPS up to 67K. I only lost a few resist points in each category, but they are all still 600+ which is good for a DH in my opinion. Physical resist and Arcane resist are at 750. The new gear also added about 40% to my magic find. So with 5 stacks of NV, my magic find goes up to about 150. I wish it was higher, but it is certainly better than what I had. I got too sleepy to really try my new gear out alot in inferno, but I was doing pretty well in the Hall of Agony. I wish my HP was higher, it is only at 22,000, but I am happy with my inferno build after last nights purchases.


it is bad that I spend more time in the AH than actually playing the game.

Sure! I am no expert with the game by any means, but I think it is a good set up. FoxDVD is the expert on the forum, so I wouldn't mind seeing his set-up and compare it with mine.

fox hates his DH. for monks, he's my guy i personally love DH's. nothing more fun than timing a spike trap and cluster bomb at the same time and doing like 1mil dmg at once.

I really have had a good time with my DH. I think my game time with just her is 93 hours. I have around 30 hours in my Barb I think.

I love my jagged spikes and gold retrieving ferrets who I have named ebony and ivory

i really enjoy the game, but I have no clue why someone would have the desire to play it for 40 hours straight. I guess he was determined he was going to find an upgrade.

I did have a good night last night. I was getting pretty decent loot. I didn't get an upgrade, but I should be able to get some gold off the AH. There were still those terrible white 100 DPS crossbow drops periodically, but the yellows were respectable half the time. I don't know if I was just a little more lucky or my MF gear upgrades from the night before played a part. If so, I am gonna invest in somemore.

Your item stat rolls are all luck. The MF gear just helps you find more items.

The AH is certainly mandatory if you want to succeed. You cannot find good enough gear to beat inferno unless you are the luckiest person on earth. I have worked on perfecting my DH gear as good as I can afford(gold wise). My current gear is good enough for Act 1 and 2 on Inferno, but Act 3 shreds me pretty quick. The GAH and RMAH are musts. I use the GAH 99% of the time, but I have purchase 2 bows and 1 cross bow off of the RMAH. They were cheap and I used my blizzard bucks I got from selling some gear. It is alot easier for me to spend $2 on a 1250 DPS crossbow than saving gold for weeks to buy a 20 million gold bow on the AH.

I was looking at gold on the RMAH yesterday to see how much it's worth and I was surprised that it was around $2.50 for a million gold.

Actually, it seems like magic find will give you a higher % chance to get a rare with more affixes. So the more magic find you have, the more likely you will find an item with 6-affixes. Whether or not you get something decent will still require luck though.

anyone played the closed beta for Path of Exile? There is supposed to be an open beta this weekend. Lots of folks are singing its praises and say it is a very good alternative to Diablo 3 for those who are sick of it. It will be free to play once it is released. The devs say that there will be no advantages using money to purchase things, so we will see how that goes. You can pay $10 and get to play the closed beta as much as you want.

Well, I learned an important lesson today in trading. If you hit accept first they can completely screw you over. Tried to buy 4 gems, ended up with 1 and a million gold down the hole.

No matter what. Never trade with people you do not know.

Use the Ah or trade with someone you at least know.

Sadly trading is a mess and likely will never be fixed. Plus Blizzard will not do anything if you are scammed.

maybe we can get together then. i will probably use the same battle tag that I use with Diablo 3. I downloaded the client already, but I have not created an account yet. hopefully the game will be good, it certainly looks good from the videos i have seen. The combat looks to be a little more stiff than D3, but everything else looks superior IMHO. I am getting tired of D3, but I still want to play a game like it -- just done right.
