Official DLC Post
I have compiled a list of the varying difficulties for each song on each instrument, as well as youtube links to all songs on Expert guitar and Expert drums when available.
This information is gathered from the tracks that I own, with the gaps being filled in from other various sources. If anyone has any of the missing information, PM me and I'll get it thrown in here.
I have put them into spoiler sections per L&O's request, as well as to keep this first page uncluttered.
The format for the difficulties is:
Guitar/Bass/Drums/Vocals/Band
The current week's DLC is updated on Tuesday AM when the songs are officially available for download on 360.
If you are looking for the upcoming week's DLC, check the Announced DLC section near the bottom of this post.

Thanks Shagrath.
Can people try to tame the "This is shit/bring the metal/wahhhh" in this thread perhaps? It's ok to state something like 'Meh, not my cuppa tea govna" But pissing over things like DLC is getting old 7 threads into it.
Thanks.

So I'm out at dinner Saturday night with my girls, sitting on the patio at The Melting Pot at this "fancy" Riverwalk down in South Tulsa and there's this 4-piece cover band playing about 200 feet away. They started out with Boys of Summer by Don Henley, 99 Luftballoons by Nena, and I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick. As the night goes on they play numerous songs that you can tell is getting nearly everyone's toe tapping or singing along - several of which are already in Rock Band (Brass In Your Pocket) or by artists that are (The Police).
I think to myself, "Self, these are the songs that need to be playable in a Rock Band / World Tour game. These songs that everyone knows, "rock" or not. There's room for everything they are doing, but these are the songs that get your parents, girlfriends, wives, children, etc playing. If this band is going to rock out to Play That Funky Music, then so should I be able to at home with my friends/family sober or not."

I have a question.
One of my cats pissed on my PS3 rock band microphone and now i need to replace it (the microphone, not the cat, yet). Where can i buy a replacement microphone? do they make any that are wireless and not way expensive?

The mics are standard Logitech USB microphones. I've seen white ones at Best Buy, or you can use the ones that comes with Karaoke Revolution (any version), Boogie, or High School the musical.
Haven't seen a wireless one yet, but apparently GH4 is working on that.

However, I also think this demonstrates better than anything the variance in taste of music. The songs you listed (save for 99 Luftballoons) are the equivalent to nails on a chalkboard to me, they're just flat out uncomfortable to listen to and grating. It's more the tracklisting I'd expect to see in Donkey Konga than Rock Band and would not purchase a game that required the playing of those songs (Surrender by Cheap Trick in Guitar Hero 2 remains one of the more unpleasant gaming moments in the last few years for me.)
There has to be an even medium out there somewhere, though, that would work on multiple levels. I think multiple editions geared toward different audiences would work great if they could flesh out the games a bit more (like Guitar Hero 80s if it were a fuller game). Or again, DLC.

Yeah, that's why I said there's room for both. I'm interested more in having fun with family and friends, namely my wife and daughters. Occasionally my parents, brothers, sister-in-laws, and other in-laws. That would be totally casual.
I'm not terribly interested in crazy note charts or a challenge on DLC. That's what the main game is for - a constant progression in paced difficulty.
Anyway, I'm not going to comment anymore on my likes or dislikes on the DLC either. Suffice it to say I'll vote with my points. Last thing I bought was that AAR and Skynyrd song when they were 50% off a few weeks ago. Before that it was Zero nearly 2 months ago (and will be over 2 months when the next two known weeks lapse).

Gotta appreciate all the love for the Electric Mayhem. Everyone needs to head over to the RB site and request it. Although Disney owns the Muppets now and I believe they have their own music game coming, so chances of it actually showing up would be slim.

The new issue of Game Informer has this little tidbit in the "Loose Talk" gossip column, on the subject of full album downloads:
We're hearing that after The Pixies' Doolittle, (Harmonix) plans to put out Rush's Moving Pictures.
Hmmm... I wonder about this. "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight" are already accounted for, "YYZ" is an instrumental (do they dare?), and "The Camera Eye" is almost eleven minutes long (the album's other three songs are "Red Barchetta", "Witch Hunt", and "Vital Signs").
But, speaking as someone who prefers to play bass in the game, I would be one unspeakably happy camper if this comes to pass.
