I love how Anne-Claire's robots explosion gets larger every time you use it.
For those who got it on their computer, you can use your key for multiple copies of the game. I have this installed on my Mac and my PC, and I gave the key to my girlfriend so she could play it on her Mac as well.

Played the demo (XBLA version), but will not be buying the full game any time soon.

- Look and feel of the game
- Your customer character shows up in the 2D cut-scenes, even the "preview" for the full game -- nice touch.
- Combat system seems well thought-out and robust.
Dislikes:
- Too linear
- Combat interface was clunky on XBOX. Would probably play much easier with a mouse.
- Humor fell flat

I'm very sad to hear about the length but i had bought it right away due to loving PA, the humor, and the look of the game. When my wife said she wanted to see the game i knew i had to drop the 20 bones.

debating on whether to get this. I just got a couple of 1600 point cards for 20 bucks for both, so is it worth the 10 bucks I would spend on it?

After playing the demo I decided I would buy it if/when it's about $10.
I think at that price the purchasing decision is pretty much a no brainer. If you're a PA fan get it. If not, then don't.

Well, the game has broken some Xbox Live sales records. Time for Capcom and others to nudge prices higher for their upcoming releases!

Anyway, time will tell if the game has staying power, or if PA fans were responsible for the first week numbers.

Cheap points probably contributed to some of that as well.
I know when i had a few point cards that i got for almost 50% off then i was far more liberal with my purchases in the Marketplace.

It sucks that they can basically write their own ticket and people buy it. It is why the GH pricing never was lowered when that game was popular. Everyone bought them up at the high price point and sent a clear message that high prices are just fine.

Last week I used the $10 off Target coupons to pick up a bunch of points cards, then had them price adjusted this week, since they're on sale. Not everyone had success with the coupon, but I used it several times for points cards and so did a couple of my friends.

I really like parts of PA. I think when they set out to produce a comic about a game it is top notch. When they attempt any other type of comic I am usually upset I wasted my time reading it. The demo seemed to not really parody RPG games so as many other people stated the joke just didn't work for me. I love the visual style but I'd rather buy and play Okami again if I simply wanted a pretty game.
I think the PA guys risked too much with the pricing of the game and didn't risk enough when it came to creative gameplay.
[rant]My other main complaint with them is how wordy and over the top their posts are. They either study a thesaurus each day or they have a program to just change every 14th normal word into a fancier version. Their game title only helps to prove that their nature is not to be simplistic but rather way over the top and a tad pompous. [/rant]
I think I'd rather spend my money on anther one of their books and wait for the game to get a minor discount.

I do wonder though -- they sold 15000 copies in the first few days. That was third-best this year. Don't you think if the game was 800 points they would have moved over 30K? If it were 1200 points, don't you think at least 22K games would have been purchased? I would think so. I'm not sure if they might ultimately be hurting themselves with the higher price.

I would have gotten in on it at 800 points. Maybe 1200 with the points deal this week.
800 is the tops for my arcade purchases. It is the reason I still don't and won't own Lumines for Live because it is priced higher then 800 points and you still need to buy more parts to push the total up around 2000 points.

I have enjoyed several of the comics but found the demo to be rather unispiring. Count me as another that would wait for a price drop before considering a purchase... cheaper points or not.

Additionally there are coupons floating around.
One for $5 off a $25 "toy" purchase - buy 2 cards for $24.98 + tax.
Another for $10 off any Xbox 360 game - buy each card for $4.99 + tax.
However, neither coupon technically applies to the point cards. Cashiers will normally just apply them anyway or, worst case, you could argue that the cards are for xbox 360 games (and therefore toys) if you want.
