That M&L game and Scribblenauts coming out within a day of each other is the reason I'm passing on that great Amazon deal on KH 358/2. It's unrealistic to think I'd play three games at the same time on a system I rarely even turn on.

Just picked up Scribblenauts from TRU and snagged my GC as well! They didn't have M&L3 yet though....grrrr might have to go back later in the day.

Grumble... This is a one-trip deal for me. Now I'm going to have to call at 10 when they open and be told they're at the mercy of UPS.

I actually didn't see any on the shelves, I went in around 10:15 after they opened at 10 and saw a lady at the counter buying two of them, so I just asked and he pulled one out for me.

As expected, they have 8 copies of Scribblenauts, but no M&L3 until FedEx gets there "by 5". She said they're usually there in the morning but there's no way to know for sure.

It's 20 minutes from me and I certainly don't want to make 3 trips (counting the one Sunday for M&L3), but they can only hold a copy of SN for an hour. Guess I'm just going to have to try my luck later.

Picked up my copy of Scribblenauts. Had no trouble using my Wii Sports Resort $25 card to pay and the $15 card they gave me is a standard gift card with no expiration date.

I had problems but not because of the speculated reason. Apparently when I checked out with Wii Sports Resort they didn't put the bonus $5 on my card so it was only a $20 gift card.

Of course the employee was clueless on what to do. He recommended calling the number on the back to check the spending history. Of course I told him I hadn't touched it since he (yep same guy from when I bought WSR) gave it to me back in June, so there is no history on the card. So he pages a manager on what to do over the intercom to which the [sounded annoyed] manager said to just take $5 off the game. :lol:

I took an extended lunch with a coworker hoping to give the FedEx guy time to get there (no dice).

Had no problem using my $30 Batman: AA GC on it. Got the game and another $15 GC for $1.27 out of pocket.

As for M&L3, they say they have coupons to honor the Sunday deal today and tomorrow. Not sure if I'll go back around 7pm tonight (to give my $15 card time to mature) or not. Would be nice if it was just $10 off and not another GC.

I started Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars the other night. Wow. This one flew under the radar. I know someone mentioned it here so I tossed it on the Gamefly queue and I'm glad I did. I only put in about 45 minutes to an hour so far and love it. Think Hotel Dusk without the novel.

Unfortunately Gamefly had to reach 15 deep to send it to me, and on the week Scribblenauts came out, so it will be going back for now. I'll lose my save by sending it back, but it should be pretty easy and quick to get back to where I'm at.

Even at only an hour in I have no reservations recommending it to adventure game fans.

I really loved Broken Sword. It was overpriced when it came out, but now that it is $20 on DS I really can't recommend it enough. It was nice to see them really remake it and improve it on DS instead of just doing a sloppy PC port like other games.
