I like the Catwoman. I nice mix of the new and old.

They are showing the game off on SpikeTV's game show.

The concept backgrounds and characters all seem to be spot-on to the actual gameplay. Catwoman looks well done.

DC villains have fatalities. They have not decided what to call the DC heroes finishers yet.

Flash and Superman look awesome! They showed a cool clip of Superman picking Sub-Zero up from the Metropolis stage, running through both sides of a building to another street.

Shang Tsung is in and I think I might have seen Kano. More characters will be shown at ComicCon. They plan to add downloadable characters in time.

They also mentioned that before they began working with DC, they tried to do a Street Fighter and Tekken crossover.

They are open to working on another DC v.s. MK game.

Didn't get to see it on SpikeTV but here it is on YouTube. Mortal Kombat's uber-quickness really works well with DC's characters. Looks like you can see Catwoman doing a fatality.

Holy shit! After watching that video I am really anticipating this now. They don't look like they're half assing this one at all. The bit with Superman running (i think it was) Scorpion through the building might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. -wink-

I actually having played an MK game since 3. How are they? I can tell the game is going to look great, but how do these things play?

Now that you mention it, I would assume that all of the "big seven" would be in the game, but that wouldn't leave much room for villains.

I really hope Deathstroke or Deadshot is in.

It's sounding like sure Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Aqua-Man are all locks. Joker should be added as one of the villians. On the not so definite side, Bane is also heavily rumored. I image they will fill the rest in from Superman's rogue gallery.

MK definite = add Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Raiden, Kano

I hope Darkseid and Shao Khan are the bosses.

I wouldn't mind seeing alternate costumes on the DC charecters end up being completely different characters. Like superman could have a superman prime costume or a cyborg superman costume, ect. That would be kind of neat. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that in the context of the story they found a way to bring superman's power level down a bit but I am not sure how they would tackle a Green Lantern unless the same "magic/power" that is effecting superman will do something to the Green Lantern ring as well.

On the costume front, on the MKpodcast they stated Catwoman was having some minor touchups done because they want to be as closer to the comics.

Yea I hate Kano too, but I can't see them only snubbing one MK1 character. I'm personally hoping for Human Reptile.

He is the kid that screams SHAZAM! Kind of like superman but made of magic.

I can't believe they consider Captian Marvel one of the top 11 icons of DC.

I'm glad Captain Marvel has been included since he has been getting the short end of the stick in most DC media translations. The only beef one could possibly have with Marvel's inclusion is that he is very similar to Superman. Either way, I'd rather have someone like Marvel over Hawkman or Green Arrow.

Green Arrow might be cool as hell with his various projectiles. Marvel will probably be too similiar to Superman as you mentioned.

I'm now hoping the character count is a little higher than previously mentioned. They stated 10-11 from each side, and have announced five of the DC characters. Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Lantern are almost given based on Boon's statements. It doesn't look like many DC bad guys are going to make it. :(

I know that everyone on most message boards have been clamoring for the Joker but I would much rather see Darkseid or Braniac in a game like this. I also believe that Boon said that there will be some hidden characters as well. So hopefully the 10 to 11 on each side is before the hidden characters.

The major baddies are going to be bosses or sub-bosses. Maybe Shao Khan and Goro for MK, and Darkseid and Braniac from DC.
