What previous gen games do you want remade for Live/PSN/VC??
 

I've been wishing for a few specific games lately, and it got me thinking about which games from the previous 2 gens would work well as multiplayer remakes on the 'arcade' services for the new consoles.

The game that sparked this for me, specifically, was Return Fire. One guy I knew had a 3DO, and we played that sucker until the wee hours all the time. Capture the flag with that game was sick, and it wouldn't be hard to do, say, as a 4-Player game on XBLA. I'm trying to track down a PS1 version of the game, but it's pretty tough to find (I sold my copy probably 9 years ago...) in any sort of condition I'd consider purchasing.

Another fave of mine from the past would be Guardian Heroes. If they could pull of a 2 or 3 player co-op version of that, it would simply rock. I really don't feel like pulling out my Saturn and hooking it up just to play this game right now.

Holy shit!!! For years I've been trying to remember the name of that game. Everytime I described it to someone, they told me it was that game with the clownhead car or something...'something:black'.

Was never that into the last few generations, but as far as older games in general... the original Ninja Gaiden. And Mike Tyson's Punchout :p

Samurai Shodown 2, The D&D arcade game, Tower of Doom I think it was called.

Fuck yes.

I'm still waiting for Last Blade 2 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

It's still on track for a Spring/Summer release this year.

I know they did it for Tekken, and I think I would love Namco forever if they would release Soul Calibur III Arcade for the PSN with online play.

Silent Hill. When the movie was released there were rumors they were going to rerelease it ala the Resident Evil Gamcube remake. Would be nice to walk into a store and be able to buy the first three games again.

I know it isn't popular enough, but I would LOVE if someone would remake Beetle Adventure Racing from the N64. The game mechanics are perfect, just tweak the graphics and add online play and....god. I would buy whatever console just to play that.

Mutant League Sports (Gen) - Football, Hockey.
Star Control II (PC) - Melee online and an epic single player campaign would be perfect for XBLA.
