At walmart 7am on wed, 12 units came in, 7 people on line. I bought 3.
Target 8am, 30 units, 40 people on line, bought 2.
Next up is Toys R Us at 10am, just returned with 2, they were sold out when I left.

Now I just need to find people to buy them.

So the initial reports of their lack of availability have been exaggerated?

I assume it'll just vary place to place for the most part, I was surprised to see how high they were going for on eBay with most going around $150.

it certainly seems to be the case around me. Then again, I had this stupid thing called work that kept me from hitting the stores when they opened.

Even the online trackers are coming up empty.

My pre-order from Amazon says "shipping soon", but the estimated ship date isn't until May 27th! So frustrating. So I can't cancel it now because it is "shipping soon", even if I found it in a B&M store. But I won't receive it until June.

Well, I took my daughter to school at 7:45, we live 2 blocks from school. From there I drove to the nearest Target that's in a mall, and I arrived there at 7:57, I went to the second floor parking and there was one guy there waiting. Just when I was near the entrance they opened. We, the guy that was there and me, walked to the electronics department and the guy there showed us the place where they had the games. They had like 30 in an open shelf plus around 5 behind the glass.
When I was paying I saw ~10 people coming, all of them middle aged, most females. Some of them took 2 games.
At 8:12 am I was at home with my game. Actually that's for my wife.
So, not bad, I expect the game to be sold out today in most of the Bay Area.

Unless you were that inital rush of pre-orders that were selling on ebay, I have a feeling this is going to be like the PS3. Everyone and their mother is going to buy multiple copies, flood ebay, and the price goes down.

When I got to Target a couple of minutes after they opened, there was a fairly steady stream of people leaving each with a Wii Fit. They had a lot (seemed like 100 or so), but they were going pretty fast. I didn't see anyone buying two. I did see a bunch of people buying the stupid mats.

I was stunned my Best Buy had so many that weren't already preordered and set aside. I was returning a receiver and was tempted to get one. I joked with the guy about the weight restriction for the thing and moved on. I would love to get one but I fear breaking the thing. I'm 6' 4" and 275. which people who know me are shocked to hear. I want on but I want to shed a few pounds this summer before I climb onto one.

Surprised that stores are not doing 1 per customer, Although they really don't have reason to care.

Not sure why you are telling me that, unless you are trying to make me even more frustrated that I can't find one to buy.

Well crap. Looks like I'm going to be waiting for a while to get one if they end up being as scarce as the Wii remotes were for the first year after launch. This was the title I really wanted too. Guess I'll have to just play Brawl and MarioKart until I find a copy.

Its early but:

3231 items found for: Wii fit

Most are going for between 120-150$

They were going for 190-225 several days ago.

If you want to sell them, you better hurry up and sell them. Prices are dropping quick.

I doubt they'll go below what he paid. Besides he can always return them to the store for a full refund with the receipt within 30 days.

What do you consider thick? And why would it matter whether it was on carpet or tile?
