Are there going to be more announcements thru the week from them? Is that what he was saying as they went off stage?
|
First off...thanks for the updates during the conference, Flay. Great job.
Second, as a father of 3 kids who constantly want to play "Rock Band" (and since they're 2,2 and 6, they really can't "play"). "WiiMusic" will be awesome for them. "Wii Sports: Resort" will be cool IF they include 4 remote sensors, and not package 1 with a game and sell the others separately for $10 each. Snowboarding game might be neat. Same for Raving Rabbids. But overall, nothing that couldn't have just been introduced with a regular ad campaign. And seriously, where's the Wii Hard Drive (or whatever)? COME ON! |

I think you can summarize Nintendo press conference with this smilie:
:boring: |

Wishful thinking, but I can dream. That, or sell them for a nominal price, $5 each would be quite nice. |

A bit more info: - Wii Sports Resort comes out Spring 2009 - Wii Speak is $29.99. Work with the Wii friends list for chat. |
So basically there will be really nothing worth buying for the Wii for at least the next year.

Nintendo can brag about console sales all they want, but when the 360 still has more software sales than Nintendo and the PS3 combined, they look pretty pathetic.
That's where the money is, and I'm honestly stunned at the lack of games worth buying for the Wii, considering it's easier and less costly to develop for than the 360. But there's plenty of shovel-ware - but is it any surprise they're not selling? |

I'm not sure I'll buy it. Is it really worth the time and effort of entering in long friend codes just so you can call somebody a f-g?
|
It will be bundled with Animal Crossing. But it also sells for $29.99 seperately if you just want it to chat.

So am I understanding that WiiMusic is for more than 4 players at a time?

There are 6 instruments you can pick from, but only 4 players at a time. |
Nope 4 at a time max.
|
OK, I just thought there were 4 people on stage during the conference, plus somebody on "drums" (WiiFit pad) in the back.
|
Yeah, there were. But once the game started, it only showed 4 Miis on screen before it went into the actual gameplay where it showed more than 4. It was confusing.
