PS3 HDMI problems
 

I have an HDMI changer hooked to my DVD player and PS3. Because of this every time I turn on my PS3 it's pretty much an adventure of whether or not the HDMI will work. Well now it isn't. I powered down the PS3 held the power button for 5 seconds and got a beep and nothing. Then I pressed the power button, then quickly held it down and got 3 beeps and nothing. Apparently, the "handshake" is still not working. I've changed the cable and got it running straight from TV to PS3 and still nothing. Any tips?

Yikes, my problem didn't turn out too bad. I was finally able to get my PS3 up and working. It turns out it was actually an HDMI problem with my TV and not the PS3.

What kind of switcher are you using? Monoprice has several that are PS3 "compliant" and are less than $40. I'd consider just swapping out the switcher.

So what was the HDMI issue your TV was having?
