I don't think I'm ready to do the endless set list yet tho it is available. I have about 650K fans.

I forget, can you do the endless set list on any difficulty?

IIRC, you can go thru it on medium (as far as achievements go). I just want to try to get thru it on hard, but I know I have to get more familiar with a lot of vox that I don't normally like singing or had a difficult time with doing solo vox (like Suffragette City.)

I'm finding I avoid some of the cities where I need to get by songs I'm not as familiar with or mystery set lists on Hard until I'm comfortable enough with them (and you don't have a choice, but to pass it on Hard.. like Next To You in Paris or finishing the Los Angeles 12 song set list)

jdpatri 03-12-08 01:20 PM

Now that I've finally slapped Suffragette City back in its place on Hard, Vasoline seized the opportunity to make me its bitch.

And on Expert, Trent Reznor is coming back for seconds. The solo gets me every time.

El Scorcho 03-12-08 01:44 PM

So um yeah, whats the best way to not look like a retard with off-beat bass hits on drums? They throw me off every time.

If a retard drums, and no one is there to watch him, is he, then, still a retard?

Yes, Yes he is!

El Scorcho 03-12-08 02:02 PM

Trust me, when it comes to off-beat bass, I'm almost so retarded that someone's not going to allow me to cut my own meat anymore.

Keep on feeling retarded. Eventually your leg will take over on its own and you won't look as bad. I felt like one of the super_tards but then something happened and limbs started moving without thinking, even the off-time kicks.

Then at a party recently I had people compliment my Rock Band Skillz on drums saying how smooth I could move side to side, keep the kick drum going, and do actual fills which had some sort of pattern. Not bad for a dude with no rhythm a mere few months ago.

Ghym 03-12-08 02:21 PM

I'm retarded too. I have trouble with off-beat bass on drums. Some days I can do it for a while and some days I can't do it at all. I'm not sure how I made it to Black Hole Sun on expert drum career, but that's where I'm stuck right now. I'm pretty sure my leg will take over on it's own, like L&O says(it does sometimes for short periods), but I don't play the drums consistently enough. I have a roommate, and the drums drive her crazy, so I have to play when she's not there. Sometimes I drag my 360 into my study, close the doors, and play it on my 24" computer monitor, but it's a pain moving it. I really like playing the drums though. It's the only career I have left to beat on expert.

Liver&Onions 03-12-08 02:25 PM

I'm now waiting for my arms to take over on run to the hills :(

shumway 03-12-08 03:16 PM

I'm still working through drums on hard, though I hold my own on many of the songs on Expert. I left off on Don't Fear the Reaper and failed during 'Outtro C' right at the very end.. I already had 4 stars at the point I failed... UGGGH.

GoVegan 03-12-08 03:20 PM

That's happened to me on guitar a few times. I think it was one of the Police songs. I noticed I'd only three-starred it so I tried again, had four and a half stars and then failed at the very end of the song. Several times. At that point I wasn't even sure how I'd gotten through it the first time.

Medium is just slow/easy enough to where I can take a break from notes and glance up at the next line of the lyrics. The wireless headset didn't work worth a damn. I used the wired one and it worked great.

It was pretty fun. I'll definitely try it again.

Yeah it's really fun. When I first got the game I went thru most of the songs this way, on medium guitar/medium vox, before I had even heard a lot of them. That was a fun challenge.

Still haven't worked my way up to being able to do Expert/Expert consistently though....so I'm capped at six hundred and something thousand fans on BWT. Expert/Expert is a *#(&% my hat is off to anyone who can do that.

Best I can do is Hard / Hard. I can do Expert / Medium (vocal). But in some ways it's just not fun attempting E/E.

devilshalo 03-12-08 05:46 PM

I only do expert/expert on any make your own setlists.

Has anyone, other than Shagrath, gotten 100% vox on expert?

DVDChris 03-12-08 05:48 PM

I got it on Radiohead - Creep.

I keep getting 99%. :( I was hoping maybe someone did it with a different song.)

I got the 100% vox on Paranoid. Gold starred it.

Yeah I was thinking of starting BWT over again with a new band and doing that from the beginning. I'd rather just get better at doing whatever comes up on E/E though. Pretty fn hard with the amount of DLC I have heh.

I find Don't Fear the Reaper ridiculously easy on vox, so that might be one to try out. Others I've 100%'d are My Sharona, Paranoid, Go with the Flow, Enter Sandman, and In Bloom. I'd say Reaper, In Bloom and Paranoid are probably the easiest.

mdc3000 03-12-08 09:07 PM

I haven't played solo tour guitar for a while because I had gotten to the final tier on expert and wasn't able to pass any of the songs...then tonight I tried again for the first time in over a month and I finished all of them on the first try except Green Grass...I can only get about 86% through that one, but working on it... so glad to be done friggin' Highway Star...I hate that damn song!

That's what I was doing last night. Some how I got passed all of the songs, but I just can't make it beyond the 85% mark on Green Grass.

Ok here are some pics of a Rockband night we had. We play the game several weekends per months (at this time it was once a week). Only this time I told people to wear rock gear.

Hehehe fun stuff :)

Count me as another person stuck on GG&HT expert guitar tour.
Just haven't had time to put in the practice that it requires.
