Not yet. Should be around 2PM Eastern. I'll update as soon as I hear it, as long as it's before 5PM.

mdc3000 03-10-08 02:46 PM

Still no announcement...WTF?

pinata242 03-10-08 02:47 PM

I've been checking the official forums all day too. Getting anxious.

dvdsteve2000 03-10-08 02:51 PM

Still no word on next week, but here's this week & the 25th:

"Shooting Star" Bad Company ...Single 2008-03-11Mar. 11, 2008f
"Simple Man" Lynyrd Skynyrd ...Single 2008-03-11Mar. 11, 2008f
"Message in a Bottle" PoliceThe Police ...Single 2008-03-11Mar. 11, 2008f

"Fuel" Metallica Metal 01 2008-03-25Mar. 25, 2008f

"Wrathchild" Iron Maiden Metal 01 2008-03-25Mar. 25, 2008f

Liver&Onions 03-10-08 02:55 PM

Some stuff there that a lot of people will like - but it's been quiet on my 360 for new downloads for the past few weeks and this week and the 25th look slow for me as well. Oh well, I can finish up the hard drum tour then move onto expert :)

devilshalo 03-10-08 02:55 PM

1 out of 6 ain't bad. :p

Source? I'm pretty sure those dates were taken from the OXM ad, and they were wrong for 3/4 and 3/18 (which is when they said the NIN pack would be out). As of right now, there's no official word on the RB message boards.

Silkk_34 03-10-08 02:59 PM

The suspense is killin' me. I've been checking on this all day long.

Jeremy517 03-10-08 03:05 PM

The PR guys are probably playing SSBB.

The OXM ad doesn't have any credibility at this point. Until it's announced by HMX we don't know what the DLC will be.

Michael Corvin 03-10-08 03:09 PM

Shame about Shooting Star being a cover.

lordwow 03-10-08 03:15 PM

HMXSean seems to discredit this:

"Sadly, none of us at HMX are enjoying this little hold up either. Rest assured that as soon as we finish smoothing out the last of this announcement hiccup we'll post this week's DLC and everyone can go about their business as usual.

HMXSean. Announcements Fourm. As soon as possible. Honest. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding. We really do appreciate it."

Except for the fact that they basically intentionally pissed on that list.

gmal2003 03-10-08 04:00 PM

Im really starting to speculate if the hold up is due to a full album download this week. It makes you wonder...
All I know is when Nevermind hits the Marketplace Ill be all over it!

pinata242 03-10-08 04:04 PM

Maybe they're trying to get something "free" worked out with Microsoft and/or a label to combat the GH3 free content next week.

shumway 03-10-08 04:10 PM

That would be kick ass! I'm all for free.

GoVegan 03-10-08 04:14 PM

I wish there were a way to temporarily deactivate songs in the game. There are a few DLC songs which keep popping up when I do random setlists and it would be nice to stop them from showing up. I know I could delete them, but one of the ones is from that OXM disc, so it would be a pain to put it back later - it's not like it could just be redownloaded.

I'm sure I'll feel the same way after Nevermind is released. I'll pick it up right away, but I don't know if I'll always feel like playing Something in the Way or Lounge Act.

Liver&Onions 03-10-08 04:17 PM

something in the way, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
something in the waaa-eee-aaaayyy, yeah, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

lordwow 03-10-08 04:20 PM

I'd like to shut off Green Grass and High Tides all the time.

And "Run To The Hills" makes me want to do just that.

I can actually understand a bundled game, but you should be able to deactivate DLC.

argh923 03-10-08 05:27 PM

My guess is that there will be a delay. Annoying that there's no announcement yet, though.

neocheddar02 03-10-08 06:01 PM

My guess (or hope) is a full album DLC (Nevermind? It was on the hacked DLC list). It seems like the only reason for a delay 'outside their control' is legal reasons, since DLC takes so long to make in the first place (in other words, they can't bust out a song in a night)

aktick 03-10-08 06:32 PM

I hope the delay is because they are trying to get a patch ready.

First and foremost, I want them to enable online BWT. They mentioned back in December (?) that they were going to try and do so.

Second, I want more flexibility with DLC - blocking certain songs from random sets, and I personally would like the ability to create a completely custom setlist of any size, in solo or BWT mode (so we can play through an entire album or whatever without going back to the menu to select the next song).

lordwow 03-10-08 06:34 PM

I agree, but I doubt that it's happening. A any-length custom set is a must.
