Goldeneye back on Xbox and Switch
From another forum:
Xbox World Magazine has been teasing some supposedly-major video game release for the past few days. Every day has resulted in a small segment of a picture being released. So far, this is what's been unveiled: http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/2...ye800pxpr4.jpg Combined with a screenshot of "Goldeneye" 64: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sionybo...goldeneyez.jpg ++ Can't wait for this to hit. |
Looks beautiful!! -tear- |
Awesome - I love that game.
|
Please be real, please look good, and please support a Halo-style control layout.
|
HELL YEAH!
please don't be a new XBL 1200 point game........ |
I just don't see this game having the same fun factor it did back in the day. If I need a FPS fix I'll pop in COD4 or Halo3.
|
It's all in the atmosphere, which this game had a good amount of.

That's a damn sexy mountain.

And here I thought they were just doing a straight port with no upgrades... and I wondered why everyone was so excited.
As much as I liked the original on the N64, I didn't see myself (or many other people) actually putting up with those graphics today. Good to see they are updating it. |
Yeah with true twin stick controls it would be playable.
|
Please be true, oh please be true. I wanna experience this game without my buddies looking at my screen to find me! -biggrin-

it would be cool to see but i wouldnt want it to become a huge deal. im not sure on some stuff so correct me if im wrong but Rare made goldeneye, and they take forever to do anything. if its just going to be a re-make ala conker live and reloaded style than count me out.
just focus on banjo 3 instead so we can get that within the next 4 years:) |

If it takes Goldeneye to keep everything else in the works at Rare then I'm all for it. I'm not saying MS would write them off, but generating a substantial amount of money will allow them to do the stuff they want instead of MS suits stepping in wanting certain games to fill a genre. |
I think the gun is wrong, in the mesh, I'm pretty sure that's his silenced PP7.

How many pictures left in this puzzle?

After puzzling over the pieces with the help of several of our readers, we've come to the conclusion that it is indeed the abandoned port of Rare's N64 classic Goldeneye for Xbox Live Arcade. They'll have shots from the game and hands-on impressions, but don't be getting your hopes up. "There'll be no satisfying conclusion... but maybe, together, we can take down the whole system. Or, er, change a few minds." Or at the very least move a few magazines, right? Hit the link to browse the heartbreaking screenshot snippets. From Kotaku. http://kotaku.com/tag/broken-dreams/ Sounds like the mag is just covering the game with screens and hands-on impressions, not confirming that it's actually coming out now. Still sounds like it's not getting released any time soon to me. |
It's a great way to build traffic and sell magazines. Not to mention, the UK is pretty big on tabloids isn't it?
